Hi I got some two varieties of pecan and dwarf lemon cuttings trying to root them in a shady spot. I will be using soluble fertilizers. medium is peat moss, compost ,bark and perlite .Jobes organic potting mix. An some plants have expert garden soil.I planted like 10 chiltepin seeds in the grey pot. That's 3 dwarf lemon cuttings.

This particularly interesting for me because I want to see the first pot with the dry, long stem cutting grows soon. Looking forward to it

Hi welcome the pecan cutting your thinking of is really a 2 or 3 year old. Is actually from a pecan nut. It was growing terrible. A huge tree my aunt let's me dig up is much pecan trees is I want. Some are from pecan nuts and grew. I dug out from under her porch. I turn a lot to cuttings though. I decided to transplant rearrange my cuttings.will be posting updates this is going on day 2 day with the cuttings The pecan tree your talking about. Im going to keep for a mother plant. Depending how it grows.im expierment with it later on someday. I saw a youtube video a company sells professional pecan trees that grow straight main stalk because they kept taking cuts from a good mother. Im try that tomorrow I might go dig up more pecan plants thanks for taking time to check out my thread. I hope I can probably motivate you be able to clone successfully if that be something you enjoy yourself. from maybe seeing or learning something out of my experience. I want to buy organic rooting powder. But didn't use any kind of root hormone on this batch. I've had a lot of fails an successful times with cloning or transplanting stuff. This is my chiltepin plant from last season its been in the ground. Im be growing peppers for my aunt and grandma. Im try to grow it huge20180323_131334.jpg

I put my best cutting in its own pot. Plus had extra soil left. This is how it looks now. Been having to water a lot of times to keep cuts moist. Expecting rain tomorrow give me a break 20180327_111316.jpg 20180327_111310.jpg 20180327_111304.jpg
