PC grow box - My 1st ever

Hey everyone,
1st my mother tongue is not English so u have to excuse me.
Now I've been thinking about taking this step and start my own grow for quite long time. The idea of a PC grow box pushed me to start.
I've thrown 2 seed (WW) to grow in Apr. 16. one sprouted in Apr. 20 the other didn't, I hope it is a lady, I'm not sure plant another seed as a pack up or shall i wait and see. I've started to take pictures on daily bases (almost!).
A pc case is very tight to do what u wish to do, and the worst enemy is HEAT

. I've started the work with 70w HPS, unfortunately I couldn't use is as the temp. raised above 34 deg.C (93 F) within 5 mints (and the ballast was not even inside) so it was replaced immediately with 3 CFLs of 24w, 25w & 30w. it's kinda cocktail and it's very bad to have such lighting at the top of the box (light is not distributed evenly, but I'm rotating the pot every day). however the temp. raised to 30 deg.C (86 F) but that was before installing a circulating fan. I'm still worried about the temp. as these days the room temp. is less than 20c (68 F) after a month the room temp will be around 26 C (78 F). I need to find an early solution!

I'm attaching photos for my grow, later on I'll upload more convenient photos for my whole setup.

Any feedback is appreciated

The only thing i really see as sort of problem is the brown leaf tip. Could be nute disored or really wet soil and a dry area

the brown leaf tip is a light burn, i've left my baby too close to the light and that what happened. My concern is the reddish color on the stem, i'm not sure is the strain or i have nute problem (Mg).

I also have a question about water, i'm using tap water, the ph is around 8, so i add some vinegar to make it 6.5, the weird thing is after a day when i check the water which i added vinegar to, I find it the ph has become high again, ph:7.8 or so... anybody know why?!!!

here is an update after in installing the scrog. I also gave them some nuts of trace elements.

1. Use this link to turn this into a journal, it's a bit cleaner way to record your entire grow.

https://www.rollitup.org/blog_post.php?do=newblog&p=5650098

2. Your PH problem, I assume you are talking about a small reservoir/bucket you use for watering, or perhaps are you testing your soil ph?

Either way, just keep changing it out, and adjusting accordingly and you should be fine.

Also, if this lady turns out to be a dude, maybe you should consider feminized seeds for your next attempt. It's much easier, especially if you're only germing one or two at a time.

thanks minad, I've took ur advice and started my journal.

Yes I am using a small bucket (enough for 2 watering) I just didn't understand why the ph would change when u leave the bucket for a day!

The ph of my mix will go up like that if I leave mixed nutes overnight but my tomatoes love it so I just use it to water them and mix another batch for my cannabis. I keep my water Ph @ 6.2- 6.4 and use General Hydroponics PH +/- kit to regulate.

your mini scrog looks great, you can get some serious airflow in those boxes, the one I built had a 3 fans ( 2 exhaust, 1 intake w/ diy co2 generator) and I could keep it @ about 23c with 3 23watt cfls when the ambient temp was nearly 35c

Thanks spicy, I have a small (old cpu) fan wish will be installed on the pot itself, but i find it strange to have ur temperature less that surrounding .

If you check my Journal https://www.rollitup.org/blogs/314608-hafey.html u will find some update, and maybe u can tell me what u think about heat isolation that I just made today and whether u encourage me try the HPS 70w light that i have

what temp is your water and in hydro man it always seems to rise. But if you are using hydroton that could be a problem if you didnt dust and dry it properly. And anyways hydroton always makes ph rise if using a drip system. Other than that lower your ph to 5 initilly and that way it will raise slower.

It seems not a lot of people like to follow journals so I'll post here, plus it feels more dynamic for discussion.

This my WW in day 31 of flowing, I burnt it once. and the very same day I took the last picture I fed it and burnt it AGAIN :( lucky me it wasn't too bad but still it seems like it stunt the growth. I use mircle gro tomato food, and i'm doing my best to make it as light as possible, but I just can't get it right. I'll have pictures soon enough.

I wish I can use organic, unfortunately I don't have much of garden supplies in my area and hey only sell time release organics. any one knows a way to feed it without much of a hassle. I grow in my house while no one knows about my grow.. crazy, isn't it?

Due to tempereature issues i'm using only 30w + 25 warm white CFLs. I'm buying some 30x1w LEDs and making a DIY light as an extra source of light... i've read alot about them recently and found that the main problem with LEDs that most people tends to use them as stand alone. LEDs provide specif lights in ranges light spectrum where the plants needs the most but that doesn't mean that LEDs can provide all the needs! while CFLs and HIDs provide only 15% in these ranges they provide more than enough in the other light spectrum. thus LEDs can be the main source and CFL is complementary I hope my guessing is right!

tell me your opinion about my grow and the LED idea. your input will be encouraging and helpful.

here are the photo of my burnt plant... I flushed it again today, our water ph is normally 7.5-8.0 so I flush it with water directly from the tab, but I add half teaspoon of fine grinned coffee that was not use. I am worried it will be to acidic.

Is it normal to have brown hairs at day 32, before even showing any crystals, or is another side effect of the burn?

The thing in the red circle looks like a male preflower, you might have a hermaphrodite. As for harvesting I'd say wait a few days longer but a microscope to check the color of trichomes is the only way to be certain.

Thanks man, I'll keep checking that semi male flower every time and then, but are you saying that the leaves are normal?

Guys,
the rounded leaves were nothing but SEEDs, I guess I should have seen it coming. I have put that poor plant into much of stress (heat, ph, nuts).
My plan was to harvest then rejuvenate to make clones and maybe a 2nd harvest. but since it came up to be a herm. do you think I should get red of it and start from a new seed, or shall I proceed cloning it??????
Please help....

Here is my results:
