I currently have a 2 week old plant.
Today I am making my "Stealthy PC GrowBox" useing a computer Frame.

I plan on growing one plant in there...Possibly 2 later down the road.

How many watt's do you think ill need in this grow box?
remember the grow area is the size of a computer tower.

I have two 25 watt. CFL's but im not sure if that will be enough.
????

Thanks :joint::mrgreen::blsmoke::peace:

If you can fit more lights in there then I say go for it.
With just a single plant in such a small area, those lights should go a long way.
Have any pics?

thanks CYKS. Ill be taking some picture's later on.

I have stumbled upon another question....

I want to use the PC fan thats already in the computer...
But i want to cut a hole in the side of the pc and place the pc fan in the hole for ventilation...
Now, what do i use to run the pc fan?? like how do i hook it up? any ideas?

I see lots of PC growers using their power supply that came with the PC.
They sometimes hook everything up to it too: fans, lights, meters, etc.

PC fans are already equipped to be plugged into a PSU.
Just plug the computer in and turn it on!

Could you tell me the model of the computer case your using, even better if you could tell me the inside vertical height of the case, but no worries, just mention the model number and I'll look it up, don't need the length or width as they are pretty much the same unless your using a cube ufo type case. Reason I'm asking is that you may be able to shoehorn a few single 24" T5 fixtures in the case, one in each corner, or you can run then across if less than 24" in this configuration slightly canted: / or \.

If you have a really spacious case, you might even be able to shoehorn a couple 24" TT55 fixture in the case which would provide twice the light of a single t5 fixture used in conjunction with CFLs or CREE Xlamps if your handy and have a basic knowlege of electronics.

I built a stealth case a while back, and back then the lighting choices pretty much sucked. I used a server UFO type cube case. Grew two plants that were decent and as bushy as I could, just you need to top the plant to encourage it to grow laterally and possibly use a vertical height inhibitor as mentioned.

Theres a few products these days to make PC case grows a whole lot easier these days. They didn't have vertical growth inhibitors back when I did my stealth pc case grow, products like Humbolt Bushmaster can be used to stifle vertical growth. If I was going to do it again, I would also get at least a dozen, maybe two dozen CREE XLAMP red and blue LED emitters for a normal sized pc case grow, wire them all up and use these with fluorescent lighting in the pc case.

just use an AC adaptor

A $10 WalMart ac/dc selectable adapter is a good choice, this way you can select the fan speed and noise to your preference. With a PSU, you could always do a 7 or 5 volt hardwire trick, but a ac/dc selectable 2,4,6,8,10 and 12 volt ac/dc adapter is a good way to go instead of using the pc power supply, plus the pc power supply is internal and bulky, taking away growing space..

im actually doing a PC box grow too. i have one 40W CFL (120 equivalent) and my plants are doing GREAT. i have 2 plants in there. ive already induced flowering with just that one bulb and its going great, i can see tiny buds beginning to sprout, im going to get another 40W Full spectrum bulb so i can boost flowering.
