Pc Grow 54w +2500 lumens

Looks good! Although maybe it's just me but it seems to be streching a tinnnyyyy bit. Try moving the light as close as you can without burning the plants. 2 inches away is ideal.

plant looks good, i agree with jhume, plant seems to be stretching a bit. also. i would swap the tinfoil for mylar for flat white paint. the tinfoil will create hotspots and burn your plants :-(
 
yup, you have 2 options here. The plant is definitely stretching for more light so you have to put it closer to the light. You can lift it up a bit now and when you'll consider to change the pot , just bury the stem down almost to the cotyledons or you can just bury deeper the plant now and make sure the light is close enough to the leaves.
 
can i find mylar on a street market? =S
in a first phase, it's better have nothing than aluminium?
are you saying that my girl need more light and because of that she's tryng to go up ?
So do i need more lumen, or can i stay with this light and just lift up the pot?

from what i understand if you cant find mylar you can use the reflective shades for car windshields and cut it to size. and yea, is trying to reach towards the light thats why its kinds tall an skinny. if you get it closer to the light it wont reach out as much. like someone else said, when you go to repot it just bury that long stem deeper and that will solve that issue.
 
Hi there, so this is the result, i found this material , 3º pic http://www.boltherm.pt/PT_termico.asp i think that i can use this insted of aluminiom foil

before i had 54 watts and now , i bought a 35 spiral cfl and switched the bulb 15w , so now i have 74 watts. If cfl have +/- 65 lumens/watt now i have +/- 4800 lumens i think.

About the pot, im dont want to change it, because i have a tinny space , and i read somewhere that the smaller the pot is , smaller the plant will be, so i'm doing that.

I had the same issue with my plants streching light was to far away. One thing I have learn is when you flower with CCFL it will take a while. I went ahead and sprung for a sun systems HPS 150W it was only 50 bucks. My 13 watt LED seems to do better than my 15wx5 CCFL's as far as flowering goes. I have not got the HPS yet but I can't wait!
 
hello, I'm now doing an update of my girl and I leave you 2 photos.
My girl has only 13 days of vegetation and by what I have seen on the internet, my girl is very small comparatively.


I have seen on the internet, girls with 15 to 20 days of vegetation that are being forced 12/12 for flowering. Should i do this to?


Finally, I have the opportunity to have a 70 w hps for free. should i use it meanwhile with 12/12, alone or with cfl's?

If you can point the tip of the bulb towards the top of plant that would be best. More light is projected out of tip of the spiral cfls than the sides. I have done many experiments with cfls and that works best for me. But...if you dont have the room...you dont have room. Good luck
 
That's weird because the side of the lamp has more light to project area, however if your experiments demonstrate that, i belive.
By the way, how did you do these experiments?

I have several different spiral cfls that i tested. 42w 2700, 26w 6500 and 23w 2700. My tests are nothing elaborate. Very simple actually. Your bulb must be without shield so that you can actually see light projected from side of bulb. In a dark room hold the bulb tip towards wall and turn on. Hold about 1 foot away from wall. Turn bulb so that the side of bulb is now facing the wall. Visibly the tip side projects more light. It must be the way that the bulb is shapped. Im sure that was on purpose tho. I can see how someone might think more light wwould come out the sides but they would be wrong. You will get better penetration to lower bud sites if your cfls point down like a regular bulb. sorry but with cfls light is better projected out of the sides and gives better covers can also can give extra space when in small spaces! :P
 
Im sorry but I respectfully disagree. Im talking about the spiral bulbs. I suggest you test for yourself. If you still dont see it then disregard what i said.
 
We are not talking about flourescent tubes or the grow bulbs which are longer and thiner. Simply the spiral ones. Im 100% positive you will agree with me after you test it.

Good news, i will seriously put my 70w hps and i will let my spyral cfl.
I did scrog, and i think That she is following the light and is returning the vertical position.

The direction of the cfl will no longer matter with that hps in there. Lol that alone should be sufficient. How is your hps hooked up??? Is there a ballast or
