5 days seems a bit short to be dry , there will be water inside those buds still i think .

put them in a paper bag 1st and sweat any moisture thats left in the buds out for 2-3 days then jar them for the cure keeping a close eye on them to make sure they dont sweat again in there , also burp the jar every 4 hours or something

jars better,,,brown bags wont make ya weed smell of um,,its more like the other way round,,,,but hang dry till crispy dry on the outside,,put in glass jar,or airtight plastic container,,thatll even out the moisture in the bud so its no longer crispy dry on the outside,if you feel the bud is to moist after then leave it layed out on some brown paper in a cool dry place for 24hrs after,,,then you can put it in a air tight jar or container again and just burp a few times a day after that, until you dont need to anymore.

Maybe it was just my papper bags? What kind of papper bags you guys use? Regular brown lunch bags make the weed smell like cardboard every time ive done it ? Maybe I got sensitive taste buds?

You guys use the white ones? Shoe boxes to the same thing for me aswell cardboard smell. Its not strong but I can smell it.

These are 2 completely differnt stages of the process.I cut the plants down hang them and remove all the large foilage from the plant. I like a darl 70 degree room fan moving air.I do this for 5-7 days then I take them down remove buds from the plant and give it a final manicure. Then they go 2 days on a screen with fan moving the air lightly. After that of the stems still seem moist and wont snap when broken they go in a single layer in brown bags for 1-2 days then after that is the cure process with jars. But them in jars and then in a dark place as light speed thc break down. Each day open the jars for 15 minutes checking the jars for moisture and feeling the buds for moisture. The smell will be a little hay like first few days then gets better the longer you cure. After about 7 days of opening the buds should be good but the longer the cure the better the taste and smell so I reccomend curing closed for another 2-3 weeks.I saw someone say use plastic bags which you dont ever want to do as the bud absorbs that taste and smell of plastic which is why you dont store buds in plastic containers unless its acrylic.

My drying and curing process is comparatively similar to some of you but I store mine in metal tins. Once harvested I do a pre-trim of all the large and medium foliage , as much as possible. Hanging upside down in the dark on fishing line with ceiling fan running high for 5 days. A final trim is done into a 5 gallon pail only filling halfway, lid on, opening and tumbling for another 5 days. I transfer to tins with a semi tight fit. The results are perfect every time.
