Papaya under CFL's

Well, i have some papaya growing under cfl's and i am having a bit of trouble with heat.

I have one computer fan for exhaust on the top of my grow box and still temps reach over 100 degrees. This cannot be healthy for the ladies. I currently have a small 1 inch diameter air intake hole but still the temperature dosent decrease. Any one can tell me what im doing wrong and how can i fix it? My box dimentions are 3ftx2ftx1ft (height,width,lenght)

PS: that fan to the lower right of the box is not the permanent fan for the box i am planing to buy another computer fan for air intake soon.

well if there is a top and you close it on that set-up with all that foil in there, i would bet is having to do with the heat. And maybe cut a bigger hole? More pics would be better so some one could help you.

but it also looks like you only have those two lights? look like 42 watt each. Thats not enough light really man. i dont think at least.

Yea like Sala said- I'd put one or two more holes in there. That way the fan doesn't have to work so hard to suck air into and out of the box.....

Plus since you only have those two lights, u may want to elevate ur plants closer to the lights, or lower ur lights- whichever would be easier- cuz they look super stretched......

Also- if that is foil- u may just want to take all that out and paint it flat white......That's super reflective and doesn't hold the heat like the foil does......

I grew papaya once- and I gotta say that it was some sweet tastin stuff- left a fruity after taste after the exhale.......

i got more lights and thanks for the tips, is the a flat white spray paint? i am just wondering cuz its much easyer to spray paint the walls than to roll n brush them.

you could have the lights closer too if they are adjustable cfl's dont burn as bad as hps

Hell yea they make flat white spray paint- and if you find it in the right place your only gunna pay like 97 cents for one can (Walmart)........ I know exactly what you mean- I'd rather spray then roll it any day- and spray paint seems to dry a bit faster too- that way it doesn't take too much down time.........

Just a heads up- expect super amounts of trichs! I only grew one under some cheap ass floro tubes and my girl was COVERED in them, you could barely see the leaves...... I can only imagine what it'd look like when grown right.....

Just popped in to show some love. Is this Nirvana's "Papaya" ?i plan on puchasing this strain. The description on Nirvanas site made it sound delicious, Good Luck!

papaya is a great strain. highly recomend it! a few more fans would help a bunch with your set up.

It is indeed Nirvana's Papaya! On the Nirvana site they sell the 10 seeds for $44.22. But if you pop over to http://www.1stopseedshop.co.uk/site...ent=a&postage=&ptotal=&postalcharge=&amount=#, you can get the same amount for only $28.69.
They are very reliable as far as quality and you receiving what you ordered. And they are fast. I sent them cash, and in a week and a half I got all my seeds.......

28 bucks, fuck me! I would think ordering from Nirvana site may cost more but you know your getting the strain you ordered and what not. not saying that 1stop is not reliable, im just noid, but you sound as if youve had luck . and hell, anytime i can save 16 bucks in the process, why not. How was the stealth as far as packaging, or did it come in a white box that said "Live Cannabis Seeds"?

Hahahaha- Yea they wrote all over the box " FRAGILE CANNABIS SEEDS!"

No, they get their seeds from Nirvana and a bunch of other places. They list to the far right where each strain comes from.

As far as packaging goes, it's in a plain envelope with just ur name and address on it. No info as to where it was coming from. So stealth was perfect!
And I def got what I ordered! I grew the Papaya and the smoke was AWESOME! You could taste the fruit on every exhale! They upped their prices a bit- but nothin to bitch about, only a few dollars here and there from the last time I ordered from them. I also ordered some Belladonna and Ice from them... However, those two didn't grow for me since I lost them in my move from PA to where I'm at now.......
And hell yea- if you can save money- why the hell not? Especially when seeds shoppin and the prices that u get into!

I would go with 1Stop for sure. Or even Cannabisseeds.com- even tho they don't have the Papaya. They have 59 strains to choose from- I just ordered on Monday from Cannabis seeds. I'm gettin 48 seeds and it only cost me $60 bucks! I should have those around Wednesday!
