Pale vein on leaf?

Hi, A couple of my plants have a leaf or two that has developed a pale yellow almost white middle vein on the leaf. The rest of leave is perfectly green.

Theyre about 3 weeks old. This problem has developed over the last couple days.

Using FFoF for soil

Ph is about 6.7-7.0

using a 400w cmh

ventilation is proper.

have not started nutes yet.

what could this be?

I should also add the leaves with pale veins are in 1 gallons pots and aer about 4'' tall

the yellowing in the center vein of the leaf is occuring on the lower most leaf

Your elements are out of whack, missing Sulpher, I would get some CalMag from Botanicare and mix at a rate of 1/4 recommended.

ElementDeficiency
Nitrogen Leaves turn a very light color and start to turn yellow starting at the base of the plant first. Plants growth slows dramatically.
Phosphorus Leaves turn a dark green or grey with blotches. Long term deficiency results in poor root formation.
Calcium New leaves never develop and stay small and dry. Long term deficiency stunts growth and causes poor root formation.
Magnesium Leaves turn yellow and develop brown spots but leaf veins stay green. Buds do not develop.
Potassium Leaves turn brown with dark splotches then yellow and they curl up.
Sulphur Leaf veins turn yellow and leaves become very dark near the stem of the plant.
Boron Stems become torn with brown tips and leaves become spindly.
Iron Leaves dry out and turn crinkly while veins stay green.
Manganese Leaves develop a mottled appearance and growth virtually stops.
Zinc Growth rate of plant slows or stops entirely.
Copper, Molybdenum and other trace elements Leaves turn dark brown and fall off.

Just use the Cal mag once than 1/4 recommended veg food for this week (your going on 4 weeks right?) than work up to 1/2 recommended for next 3 weeks if they like it go to 3/4 till you veg. You can go full recommended when they are 8 weeks old but most are a little strong for 8 weeks. IMHO

yes im going on week 4.

the plants with symptoms are in 1 gallon bags that were not exactly filled to the brim. PErhaps they've used up the nutes that were available?

I wont be able to get cal-mag until probably wednesday so hopefully theyre still standing by then

I just checked one of the plants and one of the tips is burned.

i think it may be burn from the soil? Could this be causing the middle vein to turn yellow?

i just added a tiny bit of veg nutes right before i saw it too.

fuck.

are you useing tap water? tap has high level of chlorine ..fill gallon jugs and let sit for a few days before useing..tip burns usualy not always means chlorine burn...and listen to woodsmaneh about the nutes.good luck happy growing!!!!!!!!

yea ive been using tap filtered through a pur filter and letting it sit for 24 hours.

Now that you mentioned the chlorine; on the last watering i did water i used tap (filtered) but it only stood for about 8-10 hrs. Couple days later, i get this problem.

It takes less than 2 hours for chlorine to off gas from 5 gal in a pail. Nope I think you locked the elements up some how and the cal mag will put it back in balance. It's not the water if you let it set for a few hours.
