Overgrow!

first time grower... i grew the girl too tall before iflowered!!! i have 5 ft of space and it's taking up almost 4 now. 3rd day of flowering and its growing at a rate of an inch a day!? Is this normal? it's bagseed so i'm guessing it's sativa dominant at least. So HOW DO I KEEP MY HEIGHT TO A MINIMUM...I haven't pruned them at all until today. I cut some of the top leaves but... like i said it's my first time and first girl ... DO I RISK FIM or topping?? And if so what would work best. i know i can bend But i may loose alot more horizontal space, plus she's pretty tight ..i shouldve bended a while ago.. any help would be sweet!!!
