As I've mentioned in other threads, I have seven female AK-47 x Blueberry out of 12 original seedlings(1 died tragically due to a heater accident and the other 4 turned out to be hombres). I vegged them for about 7 weeks, thats about when they started to show their pre-flowers. I have had them in 1 gallon pots for about 5 weeks now as I planned to start flowering them at about 18". However, after I started to flower them they started blowing up in all directions but mainly up!!!!
I'm at the end of week 1 of flowering and most of them are nearly 3 feet tall!!! One of my concerns is regarding the root system. 3 of them are not only growing roots out of the bottom of the pot but they are starting to creep out of the top of the pot!!! I've read on these forums and from other sources that transplanting them into bigger pots will not only give the roots more room to grow but may cause the plants to grow bigger and cause unneeded stress at this stage of flowering.
However, I've also read that allowing the roots to overcrowd themselves may cause all sorts of problems including death!!!
So I was thinking of transplanting 4 of them into bigger pots, let me know what you guys think
