I am unable to set my AG to a 12 hr on 12hr off setting. I've read on this site that some people put the AG on 24 hr light then use a timer to turn the AG off/on at 12 hrs.
What about the pump in the AG? That will be shut down for 12 hours. Will it hurt the plants?
Not sure what AG system you have. But with the Pro 200 you are able to unhook the lights to the main AG unit. Buy a figure 8 female end cable and plug it in. Then stick that baby to a light timer.
Now for the water pump. Water pump is good till you start rooting. Otherwise turn that baby off! Soon as you're roots hit the water you are golden my friend.

Go to petsmart, petco, walmart, etc... and pick up an aquarium air pump (about a 20 to 30 gallon pump), air tubing and some air stones (varies in size, a couple 5 or 6" ones work pretty well). This will make your plants very happy.

I am going out of town for a week and leaving the plants alone is making me nervous. I started the seeds 1 week ago and the plants are just getting started. I hope the week of neglect will not kill them.

Just make sure your res is topped off and the pH is set and it should be OK. Also, make sure your temps in the grow area is around 80 or below, to be safe.
