over a month of flowering small calyxes no cola

so Ive been flowering for over a month, I've got lots of pistils and little tiny buds coming underneath them, when I say Tiny I mean half a pinky fingernail tiny, there is no sign of any kind of cola growing, will these ever fill out? The plants are getting SOOOO big and the leaves are covering a lot of the light that needs to get to the bud sites, but the little buds are so tiny it hardly seems worth it, will it fill out? and can I clip some of these branches or something because it's getting to big with too little bud growth.
