I had to take down both Bag of Oranges yesterday after finding more bud rot in one of the colas . I think I pushed them just a little too far in this humidity and it ended up biting me in the ass a little bit. I tossed all the popcorn buds I had just been too lazy to remove because the three in one crap I sprayed in flower left a residue on everything. I'm right in the middle of taking down the Blue Dream now and taking a break because my back is just killing me. I was up all night last night chopping by moonlight, it was fun. It felt great harvesting my first legal outdoor grow and hanging my legal tags up on the drying rack . The yield was really small after culling the bud rot and popcorn stuff I didn't feel like messing with but I wasn't really doing it for that anyway. The bud wash recipe I followed might have been a little too aggressive as well since it stripped some trichomes off but I intentionally went aggressive since both of them had PM and budrot. They are sparkling clean flowers and in the drying room nowIMG_20211015_082914914~2.jpg
I just got done with the main top of Blue Dream and since it was so much cleaner of a plant I think I'm going to use a much milder peroxide mix in the first bucket. IMG_20211015_205509711.jpgGoing to be up all night taking her down and bud washing but then I get to rest for a bit before the bug bites me and seeds are soaking. Well enough playing online I have to medicate and get back to finishing this up. I'll post some pics tomorrow of the finished train wreck.

Got Blue Dream taken down overnight and finished up the bud wash just in time. I was cleaning up the trash when it started to rain. That's cutting it about as close as possible I guess. The buds were much airier than I thought. I knew they were fluffy because I was only getting about 4 hours of direct sun a day but I thought the cores were nice and dense. Most were very airy and fluffy so it's going to tincture once I get some Everclear. They're great as far as smell and pretty frosty but just never got hard. I need to get some trees cut down before next years growing season or pick a better spot. All in all it was a good harvest, I'm just making the mistake of holding it up to my indoor harvests and that's dumb because ive had a bunch of those and I was kind of flying blind through this with some help of good people on here.
Now it's time to get going through the seed vault because I was counting on a little bit more of a harvest from this than I got so I need to pop beans sooner than I had planned. No kind of a rush thankfully but I had wanted to take a good break to let my body heal a little. Back to the grindstone I guess:D. There's a lot worse ways to spend your time. I love the time in my garden it's just this outdoor season really took a toll on me with dragging monster 7 footers back and forth across the deck trying to find the sun for an extra hour of light. Then I ended up with fluffy buds, arghhh!!! Okay, now I feel better. I'll post some pics up later on, my wife's crashed out from helping with the bud wash and I can't get to the drying room without waking her up. She was such a huge help with all of that. I did a slightly weaker solution of peroxide, 3 bottles to 4 gallons of water which comes out to like 18.5 percent instead of Doc Buds 25 percent since he uses 4 bottles to 4 gallons.Doc Buds seemed a little harsh last time I used it but I also did 60 seconds instead of the 30 I normally do. I did 2/3 of a cup baking soda and lemon juice to 4 gallons of water which is roughly 2 teaspoons per liter. And then a warm clean water bucket between 75-85 degrees roughly, followed by a pretty cold water bucket. Well water gets really cold so it works great. Then dripping dry under a fan for about 30 minutes to an hour and into the drying room as normal. They looked good. The Bag of Oranges got it rough but I wanted to really clean them and I wasn't worried about making any hash so I just blasted both of them. Hope you're enjoying your drying cabinet. How did it do with your first harvest in it? Did it do a better job than what you normally do on your own or do you think it will be just easier rather than better? Sorry for the long winded missive, I've been offline mostly for two days chopping and trimming and I'm suffering forum withdrawal lol.

I repurposed my indoor grow space into my drying room while the outdoor plants bask in the sun. Have just shy of 3 lbs wet from a recent indoor grow...went horizontal with that as well. This is a cola I got at the end of a vertical run of the main stalk. I couldn’t go any further and it just turned upwards to the light at the end...

I cruise up to northern VA occasionally to see friends, and always make a run into DC...still amazes me they’ve opened store fronts. Last trip, l walked out of one shop, and the Supreme Court building was staring me in the face...surreal...
Too crazy... I like the herb at gifted curators in Adams Morgan.. We need storefronts in VA... I'm still gonna buy local first, better yet grow my own.. But if I have guests from out of town and the store has something special I will make the trip to DC.
Be safe, Martin

I have my patio lit up with solar lights, so photos won’t work for me. Autos might not have the yield of photos, but I’m growing just for me so I don’t need a ton of product, and the potency of autos is on par with photos I think. When we have a normal length growing season next year, I think I can get two auto cycles completed with an early start for the first crop indoors. I’ll be running 4 autos indoors starting in Jan 21, with a finish hopefully around April, then I’ll get some seedlings started right after that harvest for outdoors. Gotta have a plan...

I’ve been to Amsterdam more times than I can remember (and some of those memories are kinda foggy). Loved the place but don’t think I’d go back now, and really have no need.
THE LADIES!!!!! lol

Never leaves ya...always looking for a problem to solve or something to improve...
My brother in law is an engineer and a retired colonel... He is an introvert and absolutely would never smoke.. Good guy, treats my sister like a queen but I don't hangout with him unless i have to. LOL.

We are getting four days of low 80's and pure sun so I got out at the crack of dawn literally. I mixed in the Dr. Earth Bloom 3-9-4 at slightly less than the recommended amount since I was adding another two or three inches of Ocean Forrest that had a bunch of EWC and fresh nutes loaded up in it.

Watered it in heavy to the plants that had been under the lean to since they were dry and just enough to soak it in to the Blue Dream since she was pretty well watered from riding out the storm. I did a pretty heavy inspection today after I hosed them down with the spinosad the other night and don't see any eggs, poop or signs of critters so I am just going to keep up the inspections and get this stuff called BT since I found out that spinosad kills bees and I have a ton of them as pollinators in my garden. I might still use it in rotation if the BT fails to work but the bee killing thing is a deal breaker for me. I should have checked first but I thought organic would be safe and I was rushing since I didn't have my power chair. Live and learn. I'm stoked you don't have any bud rot, that shit's a pain to deal with. I lost a whole mason jar to it of Duckweb IBL that really smelled nice like roses and hybiscus. Heart breaking, but I burp my jars a hell of a lot more now and dry a little bit more before they go in just to be sure. The strain you're growing is a pretty heavy indica on it's own isn't it? Just be sure you don't let it get too amber or you'll be locked into the couch so deep you won't ever want to get off, lol.
Hey would you happen to have any duckweb seeds available for trade?

I have some Duckweb IBL from Olympic Seeds that I got from DC Seed Exchange but they're pretty old, 3-4 years, and have been in my freezer. I'd hate to trade and then you don't get germination. They were okay but lacked potency which is why I haven't run them again. The pink pistils are cool and so is the different leaf style but potency is what I look for as I grow for pain medicine. I'd be happy to send them to you if you want to try them out and see how they germinate. No need for a trade as I have WAY more seeds than I can ever get to. If you'd like them, just DM me your details and I'll get them out to you. They do have nice terps, just not the knockout I'm looking for.
Just checked the seed log and I have 7 regular seeds left.
