Im transplanting a few of my girls tonight into the ground. I will dig the holes and im planning on recycling the Native soil that I dig up and mix it with my Miracle Gro potting soil, Blood Meal (+Nitrogen), and Pelletized Gypsum (+Calcium, Solphur). I will be mixing the potting soil and native soil nearly 50/50.

?. How much of the blood meal and Pelletized Gypsum should I mix in with the total soil mixed?

Bump. :peace:

I will be transplanting tomorrow at sun set so I need an answer.

I mixed about a half cup of each, blood meal and pelletized gpysum, for each quart of total mixed soil (50/50 Miracle Potting and Native soil). I think I'll be okay but can anyone ease my mind?

your experimenting. not a good idea. Just use a bag of black gold and dont add a thing to it. Your going to burn your plants mon.

To be honest I wouldnt mix up the mg potting soil with native soil, unless the native soil is already good as fuck, but if it specifically says potting soil it is usually not good to mix with bad native soil, if you want to mix with native soil you should get a soil conditioner, soil thats meant to be mixed...you can do that, if I was you Id just use straight potting soil w/perlite in big holes in the ground and...the blood meal should be fine to use too but I wouldnt mix too much oh and preferably not miracle grow, foxfarms ocean forest is good shit.

I have to work with what I got, otherwise I wouldn't be "experimenting"... It's really not though, I know people that do similar mixes with our native soil.

Anyways, can anyone let me know if I mixed ok?

Well I don't have much Miracle gro left so thats another reason im mixing... But I will have to get another bag or 2 of soil to transplant my other girls so I will go another route probably Fox Farms, thanks for the advice. +Rep

Im trying this soil mix on a couple of my oldest bag seeds so I won't be to bumed if something goes wrong...

If your digging a 3'x3' hole use four oz. Thats four shot glasses. If your hole is smaller use accordingly; 18" x 18" hole = 2 oz of blood meal. Your over doing it man...
