Outdoor Sativa Time Table Trouble

I started crunching numbers and it's not good.

I figure that plants will naturally start to bud around sept 1, when it starts to get noticeably darker earlier. Which is bad because I have a small forest of sativas I was going to plant, and from experience I know this plant takes about 10 weeks to finish budding. That makes harvest time at halloween, and all the plants will be frozen solid by then (damn, Canadian winter!).

So as to not waste my precious plants, I was thinking to plant them in a place where they would be in the shade mid afternoon. Will this work or am I screwed?

Any suggestions on the matter would be appreciated.

Where do you live?

We usually start to see signs of sex in the beginning of august here, and finish up late September, early October. I grow sativa's and mine finish long before anyfrost

45, I guess.

And, I meant Canada's Downtown. Not some city's downtown.
lol i still don't know what you mean by Canada's downtown. Do you mean Capital? aka Ottawa? all the americans that come in here are gonna have a good laugh:mrgreen:

Im from the Greater Toronto Area and i've had success in the past years with early finishing sativa's with awesome yields usually pulling by October 5th some late September,

These babies don't finish early. Trust me, things aren't getting harvest ready until 10 weeks of budding action.

so late October pretty much, if you still have some cash around try and pick up some early strains that finish in 6-7 weeks, let me know if you need some suggestions

I got some indicas as well, just not as many. Also they don't yield nearly as much. My sativas average 600gs. I fully expect to break the two pound mark with these outdoor beauties.
