Outdoor Plants Need Help

i have 4 outdoor plants about....3 weeks old
and for the past week they seem to have stopped growing.
but everyday I go out the soil is dried up and seems like they're going strong
what can I do to continue their growth?

You can give them some water and nutes if need be.

I water everyday though and they drink it right up

Stop watering them everyday...maybe thats the problem. Give them a good 3-4 days to dry out between waterings and make the roots venture out in search of water.

just feed and water man. They grow as fast as they'll grow and not a second faster. Just chill.



and where in the world are you at, that you have only 3 week old outdoor ? Or do you have a greenhouse setup ? Just curious. Goodluck bud.

Check the soil, don't just look at it. In general, if its dry 1/2" down past the surface, then water.

how much do water? i would also say put your finger down about 2 inches if you check anything short of that you are not giving your roots time to grow, since they will always have water on hand at the top. are they in a pot, in the ground, and what type of soil?

To hell with all the finger stuff and measuring 1/2 inches into the soil. Just look at the plant. It will tell you if it needs water. The leaves will start drooping and their texture looks dry and not soft green and full of life.
Dang we make the simple things so difficult.

I can take pictures of em if it'd help at all.
they are in a pot, with miracle grow general top soil.
we just moved to connecticut so i had to start from scratch thats why it seems so radical of a time

I was just giving basic guidelines for someone who is coming off as a new grower. Easy to do steps like the finger in soil help get people started. Eventually they get the hang of it. Its just an easy way to teach the basics man.

Outdoor plants stop growing the end of August and concentrate on going into flowering stage. I think your plants are mature enough for plant to go from vegetative into flowering. You may still get a small amount of vertical growth but plant recognizes longer nights and is reacting appropriately. Just be careful of hermies as plants planted late winter and late summer seem to have a higher tendancy to turn sexes. Enjoy the fruits of your harvest. And hard work!
