whats with all the cut leaves?

Im a first timer so I thought that It would give the buds more light
but a friend told me that by cutting the leaves it was starving the plant for oxyagen ,saying cutting the leaves would'nt let them breath.
So now I know not to cut leaves.
Do you have any suggestions let me know.

Leaves are the engine of growth. Don't worry, the plants know what they are doing. In fact it is rumored that they can grow all by themselves, lol. JK!!
Hopefully you have a cage to protect them from deer, dogs (mine love'm), etc.etc.
Deer trails are great for finding a spot but a cage is required. Also, you will have to check for ticks after.

This is EXACTLY why I always BRAND (TSSSSS!!) the base of my stems. I get letters all the time from P.E.T.A.L. (Ppl for Ethical Treatment of All Life, have you seen these ppl? They are really thin.), but I just send them vid back of me cutting the heads off of dandelions all the time laughing at the carnage.
Moral of the story? Grow some more and keep looking up!!

nice plants man looks like there gonna get big. But i have a question on my last plants that I had I tried to clone them but the clones just didnt do anything and died out. But im pretty sure i tried to clone them way to late so when is the proper time to clone them. I now know it supposed to be still in the vegetative state but when just any time or what.
