Outdoor Growing in Kentucky

Kick ass post bro! Glad we don't have the copters as bad on the western end, but they are here in late August and September. Spot on about the rot and I found a lot of mine was caused by worm shit. When I started to control the budworms I noticed a huge drop off in spots of mold here and there. Of course, as you say huge indica buds suffer here from the heat and humidity and you really have to keep an eye on your stems and molding sugar leaves under huge, dense buds.. Shit it's presently 72% humidity at 10 am, in the oppressive range btw especially with the air temp close to 90 decrees out right now.
Hey man, exact same cause of bud rot for me. Those damn worms. You can go check your plants at night and the led lights illuminate the fine silk strings, thousands of them coming from the branches of trees down around your plants. These worms get in the center of your buds and eat tiny little tunnels and shit everywhere and your right, they will cause bud rot overnight. And it spreads like wildfire. Have you found a way to stop these bastards??? I've used BT in the past and spinosad but with the numbers i'm running no way in hell could I make it out there every other day or so to spray all of my buds.

Does sevin work for these assholes? I always use sevin personally, the liquid kind in veg all the way up to flowering since it isn't systematic. But if it works I sure don't care to wash my buds off afterwards and dry them out. It beats losing the crop.

I use Sevin until flower sets in hot and heavy and BT from then on, but I only grow a few outdoors.
What's BT I've never had to deal with such humid conditions and I'm not looking forward to it so anything I can do to fight pests is like to know. I currently use sevin and spinosad. Thanks

Thanks. I've yet to have any catapillars you start using that during flowering or all the time? Also I've noticed some of my outdoor plants seem to have preflowers which has me confused because of how early in the summer it is. I started then in mid March. Does that make sense? This is my first year Growin in kentucky and my grows in the past that doesn't usually happen till atkeast later July or later?

All this talk of helicopters and busts motivated me to spend my afternoon evening moving my plants into stealthier spots and making sure that I have 1 plant per spot hoping it will help but dam that was a lot of work should have not been lazy and done this months ago when they weren't 4 ft tall and caged already.

Pat.... I pm'd you back partner, sorry for the delay.

So, has anyone seen the choppers flying this year??? I assure you that in my county and the surrounding counties they fly harder in this area than anywhere else in Ky period. I literally see and hear them everyday usually by this time of the year, I really think this is strange. Anyone else seeing activity? Haha you never know they could have switched over to drones. Joking, but it is always a possibility.

If their not flying we Ky boys could make this year the best one ever!

I have searched and googled myself to death looking into budget cuts and the eradication efforts in Ky this year and have not found a single thing. I believe we should all look into this together and try and find out.

Two years ago the DEA cut state funds for marijuana eradication to the bone. They publicly stated they would concentrate on high grow areas of SE KY, then on a couple other places with high seizures in past years and finally on tips from public on grows. I'm fairly certain that's where the chopper funds came from to begin with, the DEA. We shall see.

Oh yeah, I have been wondering what Bevin will do if anything since there is that rift between him and State Police over him stating he would sign a medical MJ bill.
