How many of you guys out there, if you could, would like do a decent size year round commercial outdoor grow in a greenhouse; but didn't appear to be a greenhouse at all? And although extremely heavy, what if it had mobility, was very secure, extremely difficult to break into, and if the need arose, it could be easily moved into a big garage or warehouse at night. And also, what if it didn't require any additional lighting or grid power during the normal outdoor season. And, for fall and winter operation, what if it stored free heat that kept plants warm at night, and used little supplemental energy/lighting for good winter yields? And what if it could easily pay for itself in a year or two? This isn't a trailer, and the dimensions are approximately 9' wide 9.5 tall 45' long. The cost would be approximately $20k. How many of you would seriously consider purchasing one for yourself, or your business?

i would, but if your talking about like a trailor, there's a company that sells a 30ft trailer all decked out w like 10000 w of lights, 40k total price, but they had smaller models

Passive solar for heat in the winter, and a couple of solar panels and battery bank. DC powered exhaust fans. Inverter controlled supplemental lighting. Sun light across the entire Earth in one day is more energy than all the people in the world use in one year.

No doubt, the thing is how does that thing utilize all that energy needed, if weather is bad (no sun), how long can this system run on autonomy before energy supplies get depleted?
What about lighting system setup?
Or does it rely exclusively on sunlight?

I'm hoping to join my wife and younger son in Los Angeles very soon. Her family's in So Cal, and she's helping to care for her elderly mom. The greenhouse was designed for the west coast. And, as you travel north along the coast, there's a lot of areas with micro-climates that are very suitable to my design formula. I have a foot-candles chart for 33.93N 118.4W. The amount of annual sunlight, and the average mean temperature will require only a small amount of supplemental lighting. The amount of Btu's per sq ft can be efficiently stored as heat energy for night time lows. I'm hoping to employ my brother in law, he's an electronics engineer. I plan on using a CPU, and some not so simple integrated circuitry to incorporate other electronic devices that control environment, efficiency and stealth. I wish I could go more into detail, but I'm not letting the cat out of the bag until a demo unit is fully functional.
