Outdoor Drying

I'm interested in growing a couple plants this summer, but I'm kind of screwed for places to dry inside. The temperature can get into the low 100's during the day, and drop to 40-50 at night. If I buy a pop-up greenhouse or a large tent and insulate it would this work for drying? The bud will be able to cure for around 4-6 months, so if I wing it on the dry would the long curing period make up for it?

...is a stupid idea....just where i would go with this title....lol...how can you not have a place to dry inside but you managed a whole grow?! cut apart a garbage bag and dry anywhere you have open space! buy a dry rack?! lol you cannot control how long the cure is why are you saying it will cure for 6 months? once the bud is passed a certain percentage dry it no longer is curing anymore regardless of if you leave it in a jar..if the temp hits freezing it will harm your herb, if someone sees that shit they will steal it, you cant easily control airflow and humidity and temp in a tent outside...overall horrible idea imo after such a long wait and hard work why take a chance at losing or ruining the crop!..just being real with you not trying to be a dick

It shouldn't be that hard if I can find a place in some trees + shade and set up an insulated tent w/ an air filter. It doesn't have to be perfectly dried bud, I'm not expecting an amazing product since this is my first grow. It's also going into mason jars for 4-5 months because I'm getting randomly drug tested for a job so I can't smoke until then.

a 3 day dry can be ready for a cure but prob not a commercial growers giant nugs.. and if your in cali or something and your getting a cheap deal from a commercial grower idk i guess its worth curing and drying yourself but thats all besides the point.. the point is if you let it dry in the wrong conditions you risk mold or if your not watching it close enough it can over dry so i agree under dry it if you are going to do this, also outside you need to be weary of temps and thieves! when you jar it you need to be removing the moisture slowly or you again risk mold so hey if you dry it outside and watch it attentively and make sure it doesnt disappear or over dry then fine but not something i would risk and i hope you also understand you cannot then just leave it sealed in a jar for five months without opening it inside and possibly dumping it out for a few hours anyway or it will mold so im not too sure what your actually trying to avoid doing. again once it gets dried to a point the cure stops so regardless of if it will be in jars 6 months or not you arent actually curing it for 6 months, so your premise of getting an extra long cure to make up for a short dry isnt exactly how it works..

I'll be able to go and check it everyday, the thing I'm most worried about is fucking up the drying time and I'll go check it one day and it'll be like dust or something. I'm not really worried about it being extra potent, this is mostly just an experiment since it's my first grow. I'll be around long enough to let it cure properly before storing it for awhile, I read somewhere that the bud increases in taste + smoke though the longer it's kept in a jar, might of just been off somebody who didn't know what he was talking about though.

it does seem to mellow out the longer it is in there ive noticed that too but just not an increase in potency any longer after the cure is done imo..if you can i would check them twice beginning and the end of the day and you shouldnt have to worry about over drying...if its hot out it may only take a couple days thoguh soon as its a bit crispy jar it!
