So my question is...bongsmilie
I am thinking of starting some mother plants and putting some clones outside around the last weekend of may. This would be in south ontario canada. I am thinking the clones will be 5-6" before i transplant them. how much could you yield avg potentially?

I have had some good results indoors, and want to give it a try outside.

(any recommended strains would be much appreciated too) :bigjoint:

East Island Seeds- Purple Skunk X Dutch treat or Northern Lights X Dutch Treat. Can't say much about the others. I've hear the hashplant is acceptable to mold.

I grew some G-13 clones outside once. Got 1/2 - 2 lbs of dried bud per plant. The plants that got the most light got the biggest (duh). The clones don't have as good of a root structure as plants started from seed, no tap root, so they need a little more care at first. Once they get started though they'll take off.

Thanks old Hippie! I know that I wont get a huge monsters from some clones, but a 1/2-2 lbs dry per plant is very respectable. did you use any special methods or techniques to get that yield? or once they take off, they would be good to go for the season?
Seeing as this summer i will "pop my outdoor cherry" any outdoor growing tips for my area would be awesome!

a good amout of ppl have had a look at this post, maybe a lot of ppl are wondering the same questions as me?? all you old pro's out there.... POST SOME TIPS :) :)

well super cropping is always the first step. if you veg them inside for a bit you should be able to bend the main stalk before you take them outside.

I tried to nurse them when they were small, mkaing sure they got water a couple times a week if it didn't rain. Gave them some Miracle Grow but no elaborate fertilizing techniques like burying fish or grinding up eggshells. Actually there was about a month midseason when I couldn't get to them and it was fairly dry. I thought they'd be dead or in bad shape when I finally got back there but they were very healthy. Good luck.

It's pretty straight forward dude. Find a spot that you think no one will find, preferably with a southern exposure. Start some plants inside if you can, let them get at least 6 inches tall. Transplant them and try to nurse them at first, at least a couple weeks. Let mother nature take it's course and hope nobody finds them. Everybody's situation is a little different. Ya just gotta do it and address the problems as they come up.

Thanks OldHippie, i am planning on starting some clones inside like u said, i have heard that they will have a much better chance that way. and its awesome to hear that once they took off, you came back a month later to find them is good shape.
wut would be the latest in the season you would want to get clones planted outside? I was thinking about putting out a few groups at different times.
