Outdoor Auto Grow Container Size

Hey all!

I was going to put a photo plant outdoors this season but wound up giving it to a friend so now I'm thinking of dropping a Wicked Pissah Sour Sheriff and Mephisto Forum Stomper x Forgotten Cookies instead. My question is what size pot to use?I searched around the site but didn't find much that was useful.

For the photo I was going to use a 30 gallon grow bag on a pallet (I want to able to bring it indoors with my tractor if we get nor'easters like last year) but I'm thinking that's overkill for autos.

I'd appreciate anyone's opinions on the matter!

Honestly autos life span is so short that they'd never come close to filling a 30 gal. I usually do 5 gal outside and they never fully fill the pot/bucket by harvest. When I break the root balls up to reuse medium they always have a good amount of loose soil. My 3 gal indoors always fill the pot without getting to root bound.

Yeah, I knew the 30 gal would be way overkill but I have an AK auto indoors right now that's completely filled it's 5 gallon pot so I wasn't sure if I would need more for an outdoors one. But from your advice and what I've managed to dig up I think 5 gal buckets will be fine. Thanks for the response friend!
