If the cons fail to maintain power he'll step down. Not surprised. He had little choice. The longer he lets Trudeau campaign the less likely the cons will survive.

Harper knows damn well that hes getting the boot. There are a lot of reasons why people support Trudeau other than marijuana legalization. After everything that has happened since Harper has come into power, I can't see many canadians voting his way.

I've heard the possibility of an early election for months, but nothing recently. I have no doubt Harper will do whatever he thinks gives him the best chance, and calling an election during the coldest months will limit voter turnout. Depending on what Duffster and his legal team have come up with, it may be enough for Harper to run and hide and leave his peons high and dry.

I do believe that this may be where the present mindset of the cons sits......

Plus he presently has some positive economics stats he can ram down our throats...ie job creation.
He will pull the trigger when he thinks he has the best political advantage.

Early election eh? I say bring it on, sooner we vote, sooner this clown can pack his bags and kick rocks. I honestly don't think it matters when the election is called, people are sick of his shit and will do what it takes to end his tyrannical reign of this country.
