I love his books, especially 1984. He is a brilliant political writer. Who else likes his work? Your thoughts?

oh yeah dude, i love prophetic writing. In 1984 during Goldstiens book, orwell writes how in each revolution the leaders preach freedom, equality, and justice, and then is replaced with a fresh tyranny. Look at america, jefferson and franklin and the other foundng fathers all wanted freedom and justice, its all fucked up now, orwell had this figured out in the fourties!

Animal Farm is more about the russian revolution, but that was a central theme.

man do i love orwell, well not love, but he is in fact one of my favorite authors. In fact his whole life story is very intresting, from fighting in the spainish revolution to writing for the bbc. 1984 is one of my favorite books, i also like 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. Have you seen the movie for 1984 also good. In fact its scary to see today how we are moving towards the 1984 life with our goverments. well i could go on forever about orwell.

Talking about scary movies, does anyone remeber Soilent Green with Chuck Heston? It terrified me. The story line is basicly Orwell's 1984 under a blazing hot sun.
