For me I make a small amount of tea, enough for two plants. I use a 2 litre pop bottle, fill with rainwater collected in my rainbarrels. Add a handful of fresh grass clippings, handful of compost, handful of garden soil, 1/4 tsp epsom salts, and a tablespoon of alfalfa meal. Put my hand on the top and shake as hard as I can. Hook up an air pump in a dark room and let it bubble for 2 days. I like to point a small heater at it so it keeps it warm. After 2 days, dump through a cheese cloth into another 2 litre pop bottle and add a tsp of blackstrap unsulphured molasses, and bubble for one more day. At the end of this you should have a nice brown tea that smells almost sweet, a nice earthy smell with a froth ontop. Bubble until the last second. Once ready for use, mix half and half with rainwater and apply to your girls, I like to give the soil a good water and drench my girls in the tea mixture for a foliar feed, also feed this early in the mourning at about 5:00 before the sun rises. Hope this helps.

Np man. Also when you see preflowers on your plant, I start to use a little less grassclippings and a little less alfalfa. And start adding a high P bat guano. Start off with a 1/4tsp, and work way up to 1tsp. By the way i normally feed this tea once a week, depending on if the dirt is dry or not. Oh and also I use less epsom salts when plant is in veg, and slowly work way up to 1/4tsp when she is in flowering.

Mushroom Head has a great receipe there for sure. What I use throughout the grow on my plants is aged cow or horse manure which I allow to dry out and age in my greenhouse for a few months. I rotate the manures around so I always use the oldest first. Then in a 20 gallon barrel filled with rainwater I put in about 1 pound of dried manure and 3 to 4 tbls. of molasses. I bought a cheap air pump in the pet store which I put in the bottom of the barrel to oxygenate the water and keep it going until I use it. When I apply this to my plants I use a ratio of 20 to 1 more or less. I use this both to water and as a foliar spray not only for my babies but for everything I grow. This is easy cheap and will improve the overall health of the soil. Also, I add a tablespoon of molasses to each gallon of tea as I apply it to my plants. Hope this helps along with Mushroom head's.

Definitely it starts with an air pump, and stones. The bigger the better. Bare Minimumn IMHO is a $30 pump. Although some people go with a $10 cheapo pump.... that only gets you one bucket worth. At approx $10 worth of pump, per bucket... the $30 pump gives you some flexibility. Obviously if you keep a batch brewing all the time, your going to want to set up a hydro bucket and experiment with cloning/growing tomato's and whatnot. Doing both is nice.

I let the airstones run for a couple hours to de-chlorinate the water. {city water} then put in about 1/4 bucket worth of compost, a couple tbsp of blackstrap molasses. {It feeds the bacteria... and if the rumor is true its nice for plants too} . Brew that for at least a day. Solids left after screening go right back into the compost pile. In fact.. thats how I keep the compost pile moist.

Another nice thing.... If you do it right... you will never have to dig, turn, rototill, amend soil etc ever again. You are watering all the goodies in. Way better than digging IMHO.

To ditch the chemicals/supplements you need an organic grow medium that contains all the nutrients plants require for a life cycle. AACT or ACT applications (teas) supply little to no nutrient value. What they accomplish is supplementation of the microbes in your grow medium, which is a living soil capable of delivering plant requirements.

Before you start gathering recipes you'll need an AACT brewer capable of providing .4 cubic feet of air per minute per gallon of tea. For a five gallon bucket with four gallons of tea that requires a 70lpm (liters per minute) air pump and an air diffuser in the bottom of the bucket. Aquarium air stones can be used but due to the difficulty of properly cleaning them (if not properly cleaned they'll produce anaerobic bacteria - bad guys - each time you use it) bubbler hoses or a PVC diffuser are the preferred methods for air diffusion.

More if you're still interested.

Ok so y the rain water? And I use filtered water will that do? I still let my water sit for 24 just incase. And is there a one day tea?...like I make it today and use it tomorrow? And I'm a new grower so thanks for the help!

4-6 hours after aeration stops is considered the maximum period for usage. The reason being the released microbes require oxygen to function, accomplished by aeration. I personally wouldn't attempt rejuvenating an AACT as anaerobic bacteria don't 'die'; they hibernate, sometimes for years. That's also the primary logic behind carefully cleaning a brewer with something serious to eliminate all bacteria before the next brew.

Yeah it's real easy Youtube has some good videos on it. Start with a good sized bucket 5 gallon is fine. You'll need an air-pump, hosing, and an air stone, you can get this anywhere, Walmart has the best one for this kind of set, it's 10 bucks. Also get 2 sets of air-bubblers and the attachment parts, you'll be able to get 4 stones in one bucket this way. As for the mixture I add all of the following for Vegging in about 5 gallons of water(pre-aerated)

Handful of worm castings
1-2 TBSP molasses
1 TBSP liquid seaweed
1 TBSP Diamond Nectar Humic acid
2-3 TBSP Oregonism XL micorrhiaze

Just let it brew for 24-48 hours before using for best results. By far the best method for feeding your plants
