What the plant absorbs is exactly the same, whether synthetic or organic. The difference is how it's delivered. With synthetic nutes they are bonded to a "salt", and when mixed with water the nutes disassociate from the salt, the nutes are immediately available to the plant, but the carrier or "salt" remains in the soil. If the "salts" (not table salt) build up they can eventually cause a lockout of nutrient absorption, which can be easily remedied by flushing the media with water, three times the volume of the pot. With Organic nutes, the nutes must be broken down by biological action, basically you supply the building blocks and the micro-organisms in the soil break the building blocks down into forms available to the plant. There's pros and cons to both. Synthetic is easier, IMHO, but once you get the soil building down on an organic grow it's just water and occasionally top dressing.

I use both to achieve the best yield. All in one way or the other is just fine and definitely doable. The magic happens when you fully understand the features and benefits of both. Then you can take a synergistic approach to things. Each has their place and one is not better than the other.

If we're talking about soil as the medium, then organic is much better, but with hydro (dwc, coco, etc), then synthetic is better.

I am of the opinion that the end result are the same, as long as both grows are healthy. Genetics play the bigger role in high and taste.
But the end user (non-grower) loves to hear the word "organic"

Hydro = synthetic
Soil = Organic

All these answers should tell you that personal preference has everything to do with it. I finally got my soil recipe down and I can usually bring a plant all the way to 1/3 through flower with nothing but water. I like organic, but i still use Tiger Bloom and Cal-mag occasionally. Next run im trying out Ph Perfect because, why not? Im still learning and i want to try lots of different ways. I like that organic runs dont really need a big flush and IMHO the finished bud is a smoother smoke. However, organic takes time. You have to be prepared for each step. Its easier to adjust with synthetic nutes. My humble suggestion, try both. Its not so much a which is better, period thing but a what works better for you thing. Have fun with it. Most of us are here because we love growing. Keep us posted eh?

This is definitely true. My first decent led grow all i used was ffof, mykos, calmag( twice) and molasses. With 5gal. of FFOF you can put some autos halfway through flower with nothing but water. If you mix in things like mychorrizae, epsom salts,dolemite lime,guano and worm castings you sometimes never have to add anything but water.
