organic fertilizer burn?

where did the myth start that you can't burn your plants with organic ferts?

or is it true, and i had other problems with my plants?

Any fertilizer can burn....any.

"Chemical" fert burn will show up very quickly and is easily identifiable.

"Organic" fert burn can take a month or longer to show up and is almost always MISDIAGNOSED.

It's not a burning per se either, although everyone calls it that. It's more of a dehydration. The extra fert in the system draws water away from plant tissue and it dries up.

Yeh, it's all to do with concentrations of chemicals in the soil and the plant. It's like if you have to much salt, you get thirsty because takes water out of your cells and into your bloodstream.

The myth got started because.... Chem ferts are super concentrated compared to Organic ferts, therefore, it is easier to nute burn with Chem ferts. You can still nute burn with Organic ferts, it's just a little harder to do.

The key with any fertilizing program..... Go ... Low, Slow & Steady..... That is start low, build up the strength of your ferts in small increments over time..... Then towards the finish....taper down slowly......... More N in veg, more P & K in flowering.....just that simple....
