So it’s that time of year again and the weathers cooling so tent goes up. Never tried fastbuds before but thought I’d give them a try.

Hoping to harvest these before Xmas

600w MH in an air cooled hood.

So we have strain wise;

Girl Scout cookies
Orange Sherbet
Blue Dream
Strawberry Pie

Soil is all plant magic and their organic range. Soil was made up according to their schedule 3 days prior to planting the seed. Seeds were planted Friday night and have just showed face today. GSC is lagging so still in the dark room.

So exciting - hope this journey goes well :) Blue dream was first to pop @MATTYMATT726

Well things are going good. Leaving for a few days today and have a mate coming round to water them on Saturday. Hopefully he doesn’t mess it up but has tended to my plants before without any damage haha.

Will update when I’m back on Monday.

cheers guys!!

So good and bad news. 3 are doing great but the cookies must’ve gotten too dry while I was away. Rust spots retarded growth all due to pH swings.

Going to pop another today but let this one run - might pull back never know. All I know is that she will be stunted.

Debating GSC or Sherbet Auto.

@MATTYMATT726 Blue dream is a winner so far. Great growth for only 6 days photosynthesising.

Early days but I say go for it! Only one way to find out :D
I wanted to find a goodie out of some free strains I've got and not gave away over the past few years and just plant it and when the Durban goes to 12/12 roll with whatever happens. They are mostly photos as well, but than i figured it could be a nice time to try one of the Fast Buds strains i bought.

So pulled the cookies - was just getting worse and worse so popped one in a solo cup to test out the genetics.

Germinated a Sherbet autoflower instead which should be ready to break the soil in the next few days.

Blue Dream is going really well.

Cheers

Only a days update but they are really speeding up.

Time for transplant day - going for 15L pots. Decided against airpots for the second pot due to the watering hassle.

Starting them in airpots really helps them find that new space as the roots are pruned and go laterally more easily.

Will update again today when they are in their new homes.

Cheers guys.

Well 2 successfully transplanted into their 15l final pots.

Good root system established for only 10 days old. Airpots doing there job and have no root circling so there should be no slow down in growth.

Will transplant the strawberry pie tomorrow as she’s a day behind the other 2.

Sherbet has germinated now awaiting arrival.

Now the fun begins - going to try topping. Seen mixed results but as long as the plant is healthy and young I think it’ll be ok. Just trying to even out my canopy without too much effort haha.

Cheers guys!

How big do you usually get in those 1 liter air pots? Always concidering trying them, but since i use coco, those would dry the coco out gast and thats not good.

I left them for 18 days one time and they filled out nicely - still too old for autos though was a learning curve.

The soil I use is very airy, feels like coco. If you’re watering every day or other day they won’t dry out.

There’s a knack to filing the soil so it doesn’t run down the edges. When you pot up lightly press the soil into the spiked edges layer by layer. Stops is falling apart on transplant too.

You use those as transplanting pots than and don't grow full plants in them? I know people use the bigger ones and love them, but i would never switch from coco to soil. I water 1 and sometimes 2x a day so i could probably use them if i wanted too.
