Just my totally uneducated guess- I think so. I blasted my plants with water, quite a bit. We have good airflow, so it didn't sit on the plants. I think the loss of sunlight was a killer too. My rot started a couple days into the nice weather (if I remember correctly). I have to cut my losses with the CBD today, and hack away. I've got PM starting on two other strains. Gonna do the milk, and bring them in at night. They have another month to go. Man, this year was going so good; until the fires. At least I didn't lose a house, or worse....

Well, the girls are hung... really wanted to tough it a bit farther out, but the dew here in the city has been enough to rattle me. They were close enough, and we like a more cerebral high anyway. Beyond this would have just for the beauty of it. Relatively happy/satisfied... especially in 2020. Now for a proper cure, and they will fuel our 2021 rebirth! Cheers all.

I think a late start is the way to go. Smaller plants with lower profile. As you see, they can still be productive.

My plant has been wet with dew every morning for the last couple of weeks- it dries right up when the sun hits and hasn't been a problem so far

Understood, pretty sure I could have held out a bit. As was, it limited my loss to only two spots of mold, and also had just yesterday for help with the stripping (3 hours work for 2 people!).

Mandarin cookie

Sour lime og x mimosa

budworms really took a liking to these 2. Luckily the other 4 are holding strong as These were about 40% compost. Of course they got the best kolas.

Be careful to inspect where the fan leaves and bigger sugar leaves look sickly. It seems like that’s often the first sign of rot in the bud.

Eagle eye, zero tolerance. One wilty leaf is suspect for me. If you know the signs it’s easy, unfortunately I have to QC everything when my friends help chop but I only trust my eyes when it comes to that shit.

Aside from the atmospheric blessing, this year I have been tenting the girls nightly and when it rained last week with a simple umbrella because they are ~6' tall and my strategy is to just shield from overnight dew... have no real idea just how much this helps/works (feedback welcome), but so far so kind... good luck to all!

Is that a milk/ spray residue on the fan leaves or PM?
ive been spraying milk, I have a residue on my leaves.

Damn. My outdoor plant is nowhere near as far along as many. Looks like this particular plant took the Panama flowering time rather than the Ruderalis Indica from the cross I made. It also took the height as this plant is almost 8 feet tall. If I knew it was going to get so tall I would have done some training. But I thought I planted just a Ruderalis Indica which is supposed to be a compact plant with a short flowering time. It won't be finished until the first couple weeks of November. The recent nice weather had the buds growing quite a bit and filling in. I'll cry my ass off if I lose the top cola to bud rot. But it has to stay outside in the elements.

Definitely not a Rudy dominant one. Beautiful nonetheless

Yes definitely not ruderalis dominant. Although it was a ruderalis indica from Sensi Seeds I used for the cross which is ruderalis + indica not a straight ruderalis. I was growing it for my lady since it's a relatively low THC and high CBD strain. The Panama is going to likely make it too potent for her liking. But it is a nice plant regardless. I wonder how big it would have gotten if planted in the ground or a bigger pot as it's only in a 3 gallon.

My feeling is it will hold up well for another month or so.

It’s got that type of bud structure that I’ve noticed in my plants that seem to resist bud rot.

The ones that get it the most seem to be the really big-ass colas as thick as baseball bats. I still love those, tho!
