Options on these two LEDs

I tried my hand at a CFL grow about a year ago, grew one plant and had to put the project on hold. I’m retired now so its time to clean up the old closet and pick up where I left off.

Attached is a pic of what I created back then, I plan on putting 135 Led in the center to replace those 3 CFL, leave the other 6 (3 each side) in case I need to add a little extra light, or even use the CLF for Veg.

Looking for options on these LEDs

I see those two lights as being damn near identical. It would surprise me if one were noticeably better than the other.

Thx for input Puffenuff, one thing I did notice was :
blackstarled.com 135w 50x2w
htgsupply.com 135w 45x3w

Underestanding I know little next to nothing about LEDs. From what I been reading 3w has better light penertation, is this correct and I might be better off going for a 3w led light ?

Don't get those lights, keep looking. I know money can be tight, but trust me at the end of the day it's better to spend a couple 100 more on a led that can produce better results

Thx for advice man, its well taken. I'm not only new with LEDs, I'm new at growing...I was planning $200 start up until I can works the bugs out. I figered starting small I won't feel to bad when I ruin my first plant LOL..I have no issues spending more if I can grow the sit but for now I have so much to learn. I guess I could just jump into the deep end and hope I can swim :)

Yes, in general, 3w leds will penetrate better. Foreverflyhi is right though, I wouldn't personally buy either of those, only good for like 1 small plant. You'll get a much better light if you spend $300+. Check out the led companies and links thread for a list of lights to check out.

supersoil = failure proof ... check it out in the organic section in subcool's section. I mix my own batch with different ingredients than sub so to make sure just follow the exact recipe ... then you can make it big from the start, you can't fail.

looks like a pretty good setup. Are all your fans pc fans? (circ, exhaust etc?) Also, Are those cfl's height adjustable?

i got the 180watt 7 band led panel from htg supply and its used on 2 plants and they love it :). great light.
I've seen a few people buy that panel. I've always been a little curious. Any chance you have a meter or know what the true draw on that panel is?

The Blackstar line is a great, affordable way to get your toe wet in the LED scene. There are quite a few workable options depending on garden size, growing style, etc.

Hope you pot up a journal Finche! :weed:

Yes they are all PC fans, no the CLFs are not adjustable but my plan is to lower them down about a 6 inches. sorry man no meter.

This is a 3 door unit, there is a door on the left side I plan on making a Veg section.

no idea but i know if your interested in it you can get all the info on htgsupply.com......as i said before, very good light thats produced hard nugs of premo, if you dont half ass your watts/square foot youll have a very good yield contrary to what people say. (coming from a former hps enthusiast). if you got the money give it a whirl.
