Opinions on the White and its crosses

I tried some Jungle Boys grown Strawberry Shortcake recently. I’ve tried quite a few different JB grown strains, and for the most part, they live up to the hype. Beautiful, loud buds that smell and taste great.

Strawberry Shortcake, not so much. The cross is by Cannarado and is the White x (the White x GSC). So it’s essentially a White backcross with a bit of cookies thrown in. The buds look beautiful, just plastered in trichomes. Seriously, they’re some of the best looking buds I’ve ever seen. But the smell was...lacking. It just has a vaguely sweet smell, almost no cookies doughiness coming through. The high was also fairly nondescript. Almost pure body with very little cerebral stimulation, but not overpowering on the body effects. On the bright side, it might be the perfect strain for noobies or anyone that just wants a gentle and relaxing high. Overall it’s decent. Fine to smoke, not something I’d ever search out again.

I’ve heard from people before that have been disappointed by the White and it’s crosses. While it looks amazing, the smells and high just aren’t there. This is the first White cross I’ve tried, and thus far, I’d have to agree with that opinion. A bit surprising since so many breeders have produced popular strains with the White (Bodhi, OG Raskal, Karma), but I’m having trouble seeing what it could add to a cross besides bag appeal.

What’s everyone else’s experience with the White and its crosses?

Any time I see the white the first thing that comes to mind is cardboard bland. I just imagine eating and smoking cardboard. The only time I will mess with anything that has the white in it is if it buried wayyyyyyy deep in the gene pool or I am attempting to use it as breeding tool. It's an immaculate breeding tool for some instances. Outside of that no thanks.

Yeah, that’s how I felt about Strawberry Shortcake. Very bland. Curious to see how people feel about Wifi and Lucky Charms, those are supposed to be great crosses.

I can't remember the thread I was reading yesterday but it did same thing to lucky charms. It just does it to everything man it is almost like breeding with Deep Chunk although DC is just one of the most extreme dominant breeding specimens I have ever messed with. You have to find phenos not dominated by it to hope for any real flavor or smell.. Good base to work with but I would be breeding away from it.

Fire OG x the White reversed.

I havent grown it yet but Lucky Charms is supposed to be one of very few White crosses that are a hit.

in my wifi pack most phenos were fairly bland but still decent weed. there's og phenos but with the more typical og yield. good strain but needs alot of selection to find a really good one.
