Opinions On Re Using Fox Farm Soil

What do you guys all think about re using plots? Im talking about holes filled with fox farm or other expensive dirts? Its alot of work and money to dig and fill those holes but is it worth re using? and if you re use it how many times would you re use it?

Also are there any good recipes for home made dirt? Like maybe getting some corn field soil and mixing your own worm castings and bat guano. Would this be cost effective.

Thanks guys.

I reuse my dirt all the time. As much as that shit costs, I'd get all the mileage I could get outta it. But then, I'm using organics. I don't know if I'd reuse chemically fertilized soil.

cool, oh and it snows around this neck of the woods, Ive read some tutorial talking about covering plots with moss over the winder in prep for spring... Idk will snow F it up?

You only get one shot at mixing your soil. It's cheap considering how much you get back from it & how improtant it is.
I never re-use soil & I use a lot of it

Good luck

I don't because I am in large pots and not the ground....the salts etc do build up etc. Sure, they can be flushed to a point, but FFOF has good stuff in the mix, the plants use most of that up

If u reuse it take it out bag it up and solarize it for 3 months then start ckmposting it and adding ur amendments if u used heavy phosphorus flush it really good cuz ur plant won't.grow in phosphorus loaded soil

I don't know from solarizing or what a heavy phosphorus flush would be, but he's all over it about the composting it with other organic material.

yea you can re-use, after what he said up there about recomposting it. Im with DJJ though, in containers, always start fresh if you can afford it, it's worth it!! If your in the ground, then it's well worth working it over and rebuilding it. Never re-use right out the other pots though.

you can grow a good plant in a couple gallons of dirt it doesnt matter... 8 bags if for growing massive trees of marijuana.

wow 8 bags.... Those trees aint growing like that around here... this aint cali. I think im gonna experiment over the seasons, take the same clone and put them in differant amounts of dirt and see the yield differance..
