opinions on 7 day old clones

hi this is my first attempt at cloneing and im after opinions if they look alright, there onto there 7th day and are standing up without the propergator lid on but theres no roots showing out of jiffy pellets.

cut at an angle
scraped bottom layer of skin off (bottom outer 1cm)
dipped in clonex
put in to jiffy pellets/pucks
straight under heated propergator
3 x 8 watt strip/flouro lights
temps 78-80

Where is your dome for humidity and why are the pucks so dry ?

Those netings shouldn't be that dry and white colored . The clones need the moisture..

And yes, go out and pick up as much patience as you can find and add it to your grow.
Most take 10 to 15 days to root well.
 
ive just took my dome off this morning, will i sit the pucks in abit water or should i spray them? is the yellowing normal? and do i still need the dome if there stll standing from 8 this morning?
 
I mist daily with a seaweed aditive that helps feed th plants through their leaves.
It's like 4 drops to a spray bottle and it works wonders.

My dome only comes off when I spray or water untill they go into cups.
 
ok so ive been up and soak the pucks again, do you think i should put the dome back on with the vents open untill i see roots?
 
Leave the dome on until you have the first sign of roots. Usually, within 7-10 days, you should see the lower leaves yellowing. This is usually an indicator that the plant is seeking food. You should take the dome off at least once for 15 minutes a day. It should also have small vents to allow oxygen out and co2 in. I propagate my cuttings with a 5 gallon bucket I set up to use with 2" inserts and a fog maker. A 12" cheap plastic bowl is inverted over the top and a 1/4" hole is drilled in center of bucket top, allowing fog into the dome to moisten leaves. It really works great. I had so many problems trying to clone with pucks. Seems they would always die before rooting.

I'd consider foliar feeding them daily, as was said earlier.... you have some yellowing going on and if they don't get food soon..... some won't make it.

ive got the maxi crop seaweed extract so will put a cupple of drops in the spray bottle and try that, thanks

They look like there too close to the lights,the excessive yellowing says that they're using up their stored energy too fast trying to grow leaf material instead of roots.
I never mist just leave'em in the sealed dome...............fuck just read this tired c&p.
This is an easy way to do some cuts.First a healthy plant in veg with some good branching,side and top views.
I use an old cutting board,a rusty razor,sharp fine pointed scissors and roottech gel.
You don't need any hormones at all to take cuts successfully but it speeds up the process and the plants are less beat up by the time they root.
How the branch looks removed with nodes attached and stripped off,I just pinch them off be careful not to kink the stem.......kinking is bad.
Stick in gel let sit for 30 seconds or so.
In this case I'm using peat pellets but it'll work in just about anything that will keep the cut from drying out while it's rooting.
Soak the pellets overnight or they'll suck the moisture outta the cuts with bad results.
Poke hole in pellet,stick cut all the way down again careful not to kink the stem.
Form pellet around stem,gently.......then dunk in water to replace what ya squeezed out by forming then put in a dome.I'm using a cake box,they come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes plus ya getta cake.......fucking A.
In this case they're about 12"s under a 42 watt cfl,just leave'em alone they don't like being messed with.
Roots take anywhere from 5 to 15 days depending on plant and temp,I will take some pics and explain how I quick harden them off and pot'em when these root.
Now the donor plant provided 6 cuts and has 4 main branches,ready to be up-potted and flowered tomorrow. ​

I have never understood foilar feeding unrooted clones. If they are getting food from above they have no reason to make roots and search for food. Just my two cents. I never feed til I see roots and I have a 90-95% success rate. Build ya a cheap clone bucket. I made mine for under 20 bucks. Good luck hope u see some roots soon.
 
hi all 1 last question, theres now 2 with roots shown but the jiffy pucks are going dry now every day, is this a sign that they all have roots inside now? cause up untill a couple of days ago i didnt have to water the pucks 0nce. thanks for any help
