Drug dealer misdials, sells marijuana to Canadian cops

Fri Jan 9, 2015 5:09pm EST

VANCOUVER (Reuters) - Talk about phoning it in. Police in Vancouver made light work of two would-be drug dealers after a man accidentally called an officer's cellphone looking to peddle some marijuana.

The man did not realize he had dialed a wrong number and proceeded to set up a meeting with the officer to sell an unspecified quantity of the drug, police in North Vancouver said on Friday.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) made the undercover buy on Tuesday and subsequently arrested a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman on drug charges.

"It is not every day that drug dealers call us to do business with them," Corporal Richard de Jong, spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP, said in a statement. "I am sure they were as surprised as we were."

The RCMP said they also found cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine in the accused's vehicle.

In Merica idk if they could legally do that, or if the cops would even care in some states.I thought Canadian's were pot-friendly

Our cops would do the same thing, go for the easy bust, but calmly, they have reason to search from the get-go.... find the real drugs in the car, now they got real drug bust stats on their jacket....

American cops want their merit badges, and they will take them for petty non violent crime if it keeps them from doing real work...

Im in Michigan, we've had medical here for like 7yrs or so... We still have issues with crap like lazy cops camping the parking lots @ our local dispensaries, and then pulling patients over to search them and hit them with drug charges and shit... cops can be lazy low down dirty fuckers sometimes....

Not always.... but sometimes... Hell my grandfather was a county sheriff for years n years til he fell off a ladder n broke a few real important vertebrae.... theres good cops out there.... but theres certainly some fuckers too, lol.

('sides... these were mounties, and we gotta give them some leeway, i mean.... the mounties!)

Is it the uniform flagg420? Too Dudley do right?

Ya know, honestly, I think it simply was Dudley do right.... I think American kids who grew up in the late 20th century simply can't take the Canadian mounted police seriously....

Call me crazy but I believe 90% of these "wrong number dialed" are the Feds hacking cell phones as they illegally listen in and then they make the phone call 911 or in this case, a cops phone...then the bust becomes all legal since the person can not prove they did not make the call, that somehow their phone went hay wired. Nope, that get laughed out of court and yet I truly believe the feds are listening in more then we might think

or they just say that the neighbour called 911 on them, so they have to 'secure' the premises.. seen that happen before..
