Weird, I've heard about these RIDE's but haven't seen any and I'm driving into the city quite a bit these days. Just don't be an idiot like some of these fools in the article and you'll be fine. Open liquor or baggie in the car you're asking for it, put your shit in the trunk, no problem.

I don't use bud in the car so putting it in the trunk is no big deal really....stupid law imo.
Imagine this is legal now...too fuckin funny.
There are some benefits, just being able to smoke one without some dick making it an event is nice. Some archaic laws around the whole thing but it'll die down and become normal. It'll be easier to stay under the radar when anyone can grow too. No LP schwagg over here though :finger:

In Nevada we have these child proof containers with a plastic lock on them and as long as you don't remove the weed from that container you can have it anywhere in the vehicle. I wonder why CA officials and politicians didn't check out legal states and use some of their ideas instead of acting like they were the first ones to legalize? Inventing the wheel over and over doesn't improve it, it just causes more victims. Sounds like they're being stupid on purpose.
Child proof locks are just security theatre. I remember laughing at my mom when she gave me one to try opening when I was 5. No worries if you have little kids, though. You can't get very high from just eating the dry bud and even most adults can't roll a joint.

My city has super high opiate abuse rates, alcoholism, and cannabis use, I have yet to see a single ride stop which kind of surprised me given that I used to see them all the time for alcohol.

It is stupid because you can't get high off an open baggie of weed. You need to first roll a joint and light it. It's nothing like alcohol.

Yup, Bill Blair the drinker strikes again.

He's gotta conflate alcohol with cannabis to protect the beer sales, right? He also feels he needs to maintain the moral highground for drinkers, eh? Yeah, they are throwing us under the bus so they can continue wielding their false sense of superiority over us.

Hilarious I posted that I hadn't seen one of these RIDE programs yesterday and when I was heading home from my daughters last night there was one in town. Idiots though, they put it in a spot where you could see it way ahead of it and by-pass it, so I did, even though I hadn't been smoking or drinking ;)

So all the cops can do now is hit you with a large fine and watch U drive away...ha ha ha.

If their powers to arrest U are now gone for keeping weed where they feel U should not be having it, wow.
