whats up guys? lets grow some hydro!

*equipment*
- 1 bagseed (possible AK47)
- 2 42w (150w eq x2) cfl soft white 2600L (x2) softwhite
- 1 42w (150w) cfl softwhite 2700L-2700k
- 1 3.5 gal BLK bucket for res.
- 1 aero bucket (top w/ built in net pot)
- 1 bag easy green hydrotion clay pebbles
- 1 bag rapid rooter
- 1 5gal culligan's water
- 1 air pump
- 2 air stones
- 1 tube splitter

SO FAR-
:joint: germed the seed for 3 days
:joint: planted 5 days ago

we ran into a little problem on the 2nd day, we didnt see any progress with the seed, so... we shut all the lights off for 3 days. turned them on today and the seed is FULLY germed.

today is day 7. the plant is looking good as far as I can tell, what do you guys think?

im also on a 24/7 light cycle, when should i switch?

Are you sure you don't want to germinate more than one seed? How can you be sure it's going to be a female?

unfortunintly its the only seed i have. me and my boy weren't really comfortable buying seeds over the net YET. we are getting more seeds from canada in a few weeks so if this plant turns out male we'll have those.

one of my NVISION CFL's burntout while the other fell off and landed on the DWC and shatterd. I cleaned up the mess, but now is the time to get different CFL's. what one's should i buy? need input ASAP.

Oh yeah, you should probably use the 5500K or 6500K CFLs. The softwhite ones are better for vegging....go with the blue ones.....

yea i know, but what brand is the lighting? home depot has so many lights, its hard to make sure.

Oh my bad, the brand I got at HD is called Bright Effects, they come in a blue package and say DAYLIGHT right on the front. Now, the 300wt ones for 13 bucks, I don;t know of. If I knew they had them I would have scooped a couple....I might next time I go back! Hope that helps.

so i ran to HD and there wasnt anything there above 60w eq daylight CFL's. so i ran to menards down the street and snagged a 150w eq daylight (6500k) CFL.

edit: that $15 300w eq bulb is NVISION's CFL. its softwhite spec. i was gunna buy it last week, but it was cheaper and more in lumens if i bought two 150w softwhite spec bulbs instead. (than again there both broke so maybe that wasnt a better idea? haha)

Cover up the Rockwool cube from the light. Your starting to grow algae on the surface, thats why its getting dark colored.

It's not Rockwool its rapidrooter. it is however covered up, it just wasnt for the pics.

i'll be posting more pics on the 12th. (it will be 14 days)

1st problem..

added nutes yesterday, but i think my buddie added to much. i looked at it this morning and the leaves are really droopy. i shut the lights off....

what should i do? flush?

well... i went and baught another 5 gal jug of culligans water, drained the res, refilled it and put 1 teespoon of supernatural grow nutrients in it... we'll see how it does!
