Thanks Purplehazin! The pictures are clear in this version, we can see the grain in the wood from across the grow cage. This video is 1 gig, rendered at 60 frames per second and 1080p: To have it run without stopping to load - pause the video for several minutes while browsing in another tab so you can can enjoy the flow uninterrupted.
I hope that you all enjoy this first chapter, I'm starting my second video on assembling and operating a water column compressor from junked parts that refugees might have on hand. I think I've solved the communications problem - the refugees are going to help me to make videos for assembly and operations of the equipment that we'll be building. This process will require them to think about communication, it will take the pressure off of them for having to learn the science and being given gifts. Right away I'm going to them looking for their help making the videos and offering in exchange the equipment that we build.
For full page video follow the link to Vimeo, their hosting quality is fantastic.
I've planed some of the rough edges, it still needs sanding and polishing but the shape is beginning to show itself. .
.
I update the video periodically, if this one no longer plays please follow the link to Vimeo for a the newest version in streaming video or
a high definition 1.1 gig .MOV copy can be downloaded at 60 frames per second and 1080p, there is an incredible difference in quality.
This is going to be my last version update for awhile, I've got 3 videos planned to have done or underway by Christmas and I still have the Water Column Compressor to finish. The first video will be a simple assembly and operations instructional for the WCC (Woman Where You Go); the second of the women using the WCC that I bring and making their own (Breathe Me - Sia); the third the story of their day, how they survive and how they find some joy or at least happiness in their lives (Superman - Five For Fighting). The pictures for these last two videos will be taken while on my trip to Africa in December, the first finished to take with me.

Only In Dreams: Surf the Crop Circle Of Bud is the animated companion version of Weed Science, the picture sequences follow the how-to pictorials in the ebook. There are 242 images in 8 minutes with very few repeats. I searched for places that I could weave in ideas, stories and themes from TV shows, movies, books, painting, sculpture, pop culture, comic books and my eternal hatred of Stephen CoBerT. Some images that you might notice:
- I created a sand worm scene from Dune during the trichome sequence - from a close up bud picture with only picture zoom, rotation and movement.
- "For everything Else there's Mastercard. Priceless!" with Jack The Ripper
- Phillip Abootman's incessant demands that President Obama nuke the NBA (CoBerT Free World)
- Mouth Of Madness (Bill Maher)
- Alien (Green Eye lit bud)
- building a heart for valentines
- Crystalline Entity, Star Trek (the blue flame from a spoon of the alcohol from my first distillation warping through black space, between the vaporizer and sublingual tincture sequences)
- I made several changes from Saladman's advice in post #463. In the root pruning bucket sequence he suggested adding a picture with two buckets side by side, to impress upon the viewer the two bucket system. I acknowledged his help by switching a red shorty Coke can for a larger blue Pepsi can, then back to the red Coke (in the same position) as the previous two pictures. The three pictures were taken a year apart, I found the same hole bucket (unique hand drilled hole patterns shown if the video is paused) and my rectangular black caliper case (coke can sitting on) and placed both on similar angles. He also advised on showing more of the cage near the first of the video, because of this I did my first zoom frames and sequences. Thanks Saladman, your help made the context of the scenes easier to understand and brought life to the video! You're also included in my limit of 20 tags for the video.
- Most of the plant transitions through flowering maturity are the same plants, the Lazarus sequence immediately following the {air floor / Volcano} series are my first Jillybeans from seed. The first is just after LST training for CCOB, the plants look wilted and come back to life and ripen in following pictures.
- The last transition from the whitish Strawberry Diesel at the end of flower into the Hobbes Icon - the 7 series of pictures before are the same sativa pheno at different stages of flower. It's stems collapsed under the weight of it's colas and had that fantastic picture at the end - I only rotated slightly and "framed" (see next post) the picture for transition, no effects.
(I'll go through the video and add more)
Images that I have not yet been able to, but am committed to capturing:
- Stephen ColBerT being publicly stoned with rancid eggs
- Stephen ColBerT being water boarded while wearing Mel Gibson's outfit from Braveheart
- Stephen ColBerT being finally exiled to space
What kind of world do you want? A ColBerT Free World.

Saladman I added this to the Only In Dreams video post above (#512). Thank you, you were an incredible help, your suggestions prompted me to look for new methods to focus the viewer's attention to specific images in a scene and how to introduce motion and momentum to influence perception throughout the video.

ColBerT Free World The Californian Series - Collectors Edition
** I've found myself thinking in terms like "framing that picture" and "sound and image events" and it scares me, I'm concerned that I might become a hippie without noticing. I loose time, sometimes days, and it seems like months pop by undetected. I have a latent fear that I'll be working feverishly to prefect that one last "sound shape" and I'll reach back to rub the back my neck and there'll be pony tail and I'll be wearing a watch. The horror. The horror.

I've spent a lot of my time during the past few years researching through old threads here on RollItUP, virtually everything in the ebook Weed Science, and therefore the video Only In Dreams: Surf the Crop Circle Of Bud is influenced by posts and pictures made by forum members so numerous that I couldn't possibly remember let alone acknowledge everyone. Thank you.
