The outrage brigades sure do make it difficult. It gives a bunch of credence to the right claiming the left are being hypersensitive and the various claims they make. I thought al franken could have been the party star and would have been my ideal 2020 candidate, it did seem like the #metoo movement got weaponized to take him out. Don't get me wrong, you need to hold your own side accountable, but sheesh. "Oh the right wingers laughed at us and said to fuck off...I got it, PURIFY THE RANKS!!!!"

I kind of think the same of when they would go after someone for wearing blackface to dress up like Mr t in the 80s. Fuck that, you are applying modern cultural norms out of context. Mr t is black, white Mr t is dumb...at the time it wasn't a racist gesture at all...you like Mr t and want a good costume.

Edit: odd squad is a rad show...how many drugs are they on. All of them, all the drugs.

I call bullshit on the entirety of it not just being mostly trolls amplifying a handful of idiots that get sucked into what they are being programmed by trolls to think sounds like a good thing to say.

And when some talking head on TV/radio/youtube saying the same thing they feel all validated. And eventually people get addicted to these cherry picked snowflake narratives. And when they get around people in real life they get into the agreement or Mark Levin cycle until the only people who can talk with them are the ones sucked into the same rabbit holes.

Context has always been the most important piece of information., like calling someone the n-word, versus reading Huck Finn. Steph Curry giving the sign after winning three championships is quiiiiiite bit different from a Trumper giving the sign for a photo op while out playing with his friends. They deny it 100% of the time of course, and that's something I've always disliked about white racists, is the amazing depth of being smarmy chicken shits when it comes to ownership.
