One World in Billings

So this one is Fucked Up
The Hippie Gardener and I go to "One World" the local grow store. I wanted some 1" neoprene for my aero-cloner which they didn't have. No big deal, as I don't need it for a few weeks. I wanted to see the "cannabis" miracle nutrients. The AN thread I read made me care to see what they had, and it's prices. While reading the contents of a $86/gal nute I hear the Hippie Gardener say "This plants is covered in aphids." She was looking at demo houseplants under HID lighting. A few minutes later I'm looking at a $36/qt jar of "miracle/secret ingredient" bloom nute. I hear her calling "oh my god this one is covered in spider mites." I went to look and it made me want to BURN the fucking place down. How could you not notice or not care about that. If some dumbass walks by, touched them, then goes to handle ANYTHING it is polluted. It didn't have a few. That plant was COVERED in mites. Needless to say I will never walk in there again. Can you believe that? No one seemed concerned, 3 employees and 4 customers including us.

easy now. aphids and mites are not the end of the world. lets not draw out our brave friend into isolation. i clearly remember this guy being the only around to open this type of shop. i'm pretty sure if anybody knows anything about this guy, he is not swimming in money. he is clearly a dreamer living the dream. its not the best or worst dream, just his dream. this guy is soooo passionate about green existence overall. he is in my book a "good person". to those people, "the good ones" i try not to cast negative energy on. have i been in that shop? yes. have i had mites since visiting? yes. are his prices high? yes. do i think my mites are his fault? no way! if you cut your grass, then walk into your grow with any of the same clothes on, you are gonna drop at least a dozen clover mites. there are a few species(and they vary in size) all around your dwelling. the cat, dog drags them in. your kids. they are everywhere. there are simple solutions to killing these critters. organic, cheap solutions. i think if you have a great sense of value, then you can afford to pass on paying too much. is he gonna have a bulb on saturday afternoon, when ur shit broke. yep. you'll probably pay too much, but your cycle won't be disrupted. this guy is spreading good energy in the world of marijuana. another step towards legalization. MY TWO CENTS

do you go everywhere with your mother? for someone who hasn't written anything you sure have a strong opinion. i suppose that you are more educated than the rest of us. with that kinda of attitude i wouldnt doubt it if it was you who tried to burn down the competition. maybe they gave you a clone with mites and you just couldnt take it mentally. good luck in your operation, hope you dont get shut down like the rest. ignorance breeds fear... get some courage little bear.

Of Fuck off. I'm 33yr old. I have many years experience with gardening and landscaping. Nice first post. Did you start a new account cause your an employee? Your real account show you know or have written anything? I saw this and was thinking of a response. Sorry 2hrs wasn't fast enough you YOUNG LITTLE PRICK. To accuse me of that bullshit with the Molotov cocktail is ignorant to a level I can't even explain to you. Re-read that post. To have something absolutely covered in mites and not give a shit is inexcusable. I hope people can make money and further this movement. But I think it is something to warn people about. You think a local nursery in Billings would stay in business run like that? My attitude reflects people taking responsibility, and warning locals of this.

They may not be the end of the world, but they are extremely difficult if you don't catch it early. He seemed nice while I talked to him. I'm not against people making money.
There is 120 plus houseplants plus MY garden here. I work outside on the gardens almost daily. We have had NONE in years. Sure they can come in on random. Why let an INFESTATION cover a demo plant when you must have something within 10'? Are you really that sure you didn't pick them up there? I can see you are a knowledgeable grower, I try to send good help to people too. That was just too much. just MY TWO CENTS

the city killed the dog, it brings a tear to my eye when i am reminded of "kilo". he was not my child, but loved me like i was his father. a truly fine animal. i am now aware, that i have been fully trolled. i spotted you, when you had 5 posts.

i find most grow rooms that are infested, had issues that lend or increase the infestation. i find that most people look to blame someone else for their problems. i am truly sorry you are so upset. i have never bought anything from that shop. i told him once that he needs to restructure and evaluate his pricing. if you dont like his place, stay out. i knew of his mites last year, aphids are not a surprise. i knew because a friend told me. he didn't tell me over the internet, he said it to my face. there are certain unspoken rules when posting on forums. peoples number of posts, do not directly reflect any measure of skill or knowledge. post numbers do not garner respect or authority. i always think about what i want to post, then post. when people make me angry, i just ignore or forget about them.

if this guys shop is soooo horrible, time will tell. his doors will close, and he will move on. i just don't think it is fair to blast someone publicly in that manner. its really hurtful. it just thickens everyone's skin. if i had to, i wouldn't pick sides.

i have mites on my parsley that sprouted from last years plants going to seed, by my back fence. is he the cause? i think "GOD" is the cause, there is no pesticide for that.

I really am very sorry to hear about your dog. They are such great company and I bet he knew you were his "alpha" in the pack. I'm truly sorry to remind you about it.
I agree that most grow room infestations have issues that lend/increase the problems. I definitely agree about people looking to blame others for their problems. I didn't get them there, but we also know better than to touch them. We also washed our hands when we got home. My rant about some of those nutes had nothing to do with his added $. I think if he sold them for what he paid for them they are "over priced" .;)
Aphids are easier to deal with to me. I wasn't blaming him publicly for getting them there. Opening that type of shop to help the new locals learning to grow, then allowing that is irresponsible. I'm not kidding when I say COVERED. We couldn't tell what type plant it was. I wrote that before the vandals around Billings. I shouldn't have said burn the place down. I was thinking about when I said "Oh my God, take it outside and burn it" when I was there, to which 2 employees shrugged. I get fired up too easy. I also don't think the number of posts people have means much. It just gives me something to see if they are knowledgeable.:blsmoke: I remember seeing some stuff from you:mrgreen: You are right time will tell.
If your mites were from God, then "Thank God" there isn't a pesticide for it.
