One seed attempt.

this is mystery seed, 36 hours of germination every six or so hours venting.
I checked my soil today to mix into the pot and it had gnat larve, back to to store tomorrow more pictures to follow progress.
Will appreciate future input.

gnats are everywhere almost no way around it if the soil was stored outside for any period of time

yeah hate the little fuckers but the stupid garden store keeps all the soil outside to get soaked and full of gnats

the good news is they can only really harm seedlings... oh ..

It's cool yeah the soil was stored outside of our home, this was a good learning lesson now everything stays inside in one clean,dry and non-humid area.
I had put the seed in the soil/perlite mixbut after two hours I walked by seen something moving around the edges, I was lucky they didn't get to my only baby then.

I'm just worried leaving the seed in the bag to long may have some bad effects on it? I keep opening the bag and cycleing my breath into it (so cool my breath can help give life).

So for a start; lightbulbs I got (2) 18W cfl bulbs, 1200 lumen each it says they are in the 2700k.
Picture of finished spot, now this is the complete product and I wouldn't mind some tips on how to optimize, I don't mind a few more bucks invested but...well I'm poor.

well your gonna need more light alot more but the 2 18s will get you by for a week or two keep them close real close

More light and next time Microwave your soil for 3 to 5 min on high. Let cool then use. Should help kill those pests.

More lumens (intensity or wattage), and you have the Kelvin you want to use for flowering.
They will grow under that, but not as well as they could.
Find some 5000k or 6500k CFL's, I just picked up a 4 pack of the 5000k from Lowe's for about $11, and a 2 pack of 2700's for under $10.

wow Ok RIP Not even the first night and my wifes dog just ate the seed.. Like most of the top layer of dirt is gone and eatin. FUCK, it's taking every fiber in my being not to take that dog out and leave it in the desert now. I'm so pissed and sad, ugh.

I'll repost in a few days I need to calm down, take a walk and re-order.

SO does anyone know a trusted seed bank? I'm poor so single seeds or shit mysterys seeds would be fine I want to grow it's a great stress relief and I actually enjoy playing doctor green thumb.... and now I know keep it out of reach from this fucking animal. My german shepard is smart enough to not do this shit but that fucking cockerspanial.
