Mexico gets to drive the US in its trucks now. Soon the independent, already in some shit with fuel prices, will be a thing of the past. Replaced with imported Mexican truck drivers. The drivers and their trucks do not have to maintain the same level of safety and training as US drivers do....

This story doesn't mention that after the pilot program, Mexican truckers will be "randomly" checked out instead of what we as US truckers have to do.

the truck driver sounds pretty ignorant

Independent truckers have been under assault by trucking conglomerates for over 20 years. Their numbers have been dwindling and they will go the way of the family owned farm.
