Not quite; it breaks back into cyanoacrylate monomer. That is a lachrymator (tear gas) and as such is a nuisance but not super dangerous.

In fact I might float the argument that tasting monomer is a feature: tells you when to back off the heat and maybe get the unit to last longer. I love a quality rationalization.
