Old and the New.

This is not really a thread, but more of an observation.

There have been many an argument on riu about new strains being more potent and higher thc than strains from the past.

But the trend in seeds and breeders is quite the opposite.
Lots of pre this and pre that, if it's before 2000, it seems to be a hot item!
We got 88hp/g-13, pre 98bubba, pre 2000 blueberry, Sensi star, triangle kush circa 92, and the list goes on.......
So how does this affect the argument that new is better than old?

So if anyone wants to comment or add anything to this, feel free.
All are welcome!

in most instances breeders, guys that are actually paid to breed strains,

in most cases are Dutch, breed for a range of differing desires,

many are too smart for their socks and seriously fuck up.

leaving it to the spin, or marketing dept. to pass on

with the re- resurgence of the 'Pineapple Express' in just the last few months ...many won't be selling them on

as the particular flavor is so difficult to breed on, and keep other factors in play too

like the possibly of a plus 25% thc strain

These are very early days, more so in north america

but generally the most popular desire to have in new strains is more thc,

and all the smarts are saying we have reached the peak..already

I for one hope not

its smart to keep a few land races around just for any expected viri outbreaks

...of which 'we' are due

good luck
