Hi,
So I posted another thread where I was worried about my lack of space for these plants// I've let them veg for nearly two months now.. they're white widow.

Someone pointed out (rightly so i'm assuming, this is my 3rd grow - rookie) that 400w of light won't penetrate the whole plant, I definately don't want smaller fluffy buds as I experienced with my previous grow.

So if I've got 5 plants in 3feet x 3feet area, ill be using DWC, what should I do to avoid this problem? I prefer growing SOG style where I only get one big cola but these were grown from seed...

I havent been pruning the large fan leaves as I was still in veg, was gonna do that at beginning of flowering which is where I'm at now..

ps - I do have mylar in flower room

suggestions?! Here'a a link to my previous thread and a pic:

Well that container is quite small for 5 plants so roots will be an issue as they fight for room ,food, air and space in general.400 watt hps is fine for 5 plants.Im doing a side grow of 14 under 1 400 watt hps for some extra fun.You should look into lollipoping the plants or 2 stage harvests.Lollipoping is removing the bottom 3rd of all the veg from the plant right to the stalk and leaving the main top coloa or two to grow bigger and fatter as no nutes takin by lowewr branches or smaller buds.A second harvest means more time as you will grow the plant in full flower it and at harvest take the larger colas and buds from the plant then thin the leftover fan leaves and non bud bareing branches letting light and food catch these up in flower for another 2-3 weeks. You wann do any pruning or chopping during veg as you will wanna give the plant a week or 2 to heal and recover before going 12/12.Trimming in flower will slow the plant down by a few weeks and possible stunt the yields.Good luck
