I grew out two little tiny mystery plants (in 1 gallon pots) and waited until they grew three nodes and topped above it...it split and made two tops...no problem at all...worked perfectly on both of the mystery plants...

however when i read about FIM its just plain confusing...I'm really not aware WHERE or HOW the cut is made. i have my next serious grow starting and im hoping to feel confident enough to actually make the cut on these plants. (it would be important i don't **** up.)

BEFORE anyone goes and gets that "FIM" drawing i always see posted I'd like to already say it doesn't make sense to me as the plant in the illustration looks nothing like the plant in person (to me at least).

any/all help appreciated.

FIM is nothing more than what we used to call pinching (the new growth).

It's an internet term that causes more confusion than anything.

Just top like you've been doing, all I do.

thanks. i think i have a better idea now.

one other question...i forget the proper term for it at the moment...(supercropping i think it was?) where during the veg stage you slightly damage many of the branches (by lightly grabbing and twisting the branch between your thumb and index finger till the insides begin to become damaged... my question is how well does this work? does it delay the veg time any? also...wat about bending he branches over completely?

let me know if any of you have ever done this and how the results were. thx once again
