Is og just a super heavy feeder and calmag whore? Having to feed her more than any other strain. Like 2 or 3x what the feed chart calls for.
Using the whole general organics line btw. Some leaves not looking all that great..

OGK is not a heavy feeder. At least not real deal OG. I grow it every year and it's actually a finicky strain compared to a lot of others. Finicky and not the best yielded.....but what it lacks in yield it makes up for in potency. When it's grown correctly.

Feeding chats are nothing more than the roughest of guidelines. Always feed a plant according to its needs and not a chart

Since your doing organics you may need you suppliment a product like extreme gardening mykos, or other microbial. Theres 100 options, but you may need to recharge your micro hard. All the organics in the world are nothing more than shit until microbes turn them into nutrients for your plant. I used to be hardcore organics only, but now I use a lot of synthetic nutrients also to give the plants what they want when they want it

I miss that, this is my first and last go with organics. Its not hard just different.
With organics it can be just fine but you really need a good understanding of how the microherd works. It must be build up in veg so that all the nutrients are processed as quickly as possible. I use more organics in flower than I do veg to get the flavor I'm after, but I use chem nutes the whole time. Last night I used 3 parts of the general organics like alongside a chem base nute

Same I use both and cut way beck late flower. I'm playing around with organics for the green houses. Reusing soil, amending etc etc. I got good results but I've got some fine tuning to do before I give up my normal routine ....lol

OG is a strain I have to watch much closer than any others. My patients love it and always ask me to run it in my green houses. I've grown OGK way more than any other strain by far. I've noticed through the years they aren't heavy feeders and love their dry spell inbetween waterings. They will get all sorts of upset if the soil is kept moist/overwatered. With a strain like OG that doesn't yield great in a perfect grow. Mistakes will definitely cut into harvest. The biggest advice I can give you is be consistent with your feedings and don't over water her. If you see your leafs looking heavy, give her more time between waterings. Wet soil is no good and will cause all sorts of weird looking issues with the leafs. I can't stress enough good watering habits with any strain, but especially finicky ones like real deal OGK. I actually let my plants start to wilt to dial in the watering schedule. An underwatered plant is back to normal in minutes. While an over waterted plant can stunt growth and have all sorts of strange visual side effects. Hope that helps some.

GL hope it turns out good for you. Nothing like a long flowered OG with a good cure. Maybe even my all time favorite.

Also smart pots and 90+ temps make for thirsty girls

Good morning Sithlord88,
I edited my post and added that lower comment...so you didn't miss it...it wasn't there.

Mostly I was bumping your thread and encouraging you to add info for the many good organic dudes here. I haven't really done organics for decades. With the mycorhizzal...you are essentially just inoculating your soil so going by product directions will get you started. It's killed by heat so make every effort to keep pots shaded. Lots of summer left.

Philosophically, with organics you are feeding the soil and not the plant. But if you have a clear cut deficiency...foliar feeding will provide a rapid response. Good luck,
JD
