im growing purple kush and shes about a day ovr 5 weeks, i kno shes got another 4 or so left but im wondering how you tell shes completly ripe? i have a microscope 60x-100x. thanx

It is mostly a personal preference. Is it sativa or Indica? Everyone has a different method, I stick to mostly cloudy with a little amber, but like I said, Personal preference. Its easiest to remove a piece of leaf and observe on a white notecard, depending on your scope.

I like most of my indica's around 50% amber. More is OK.
But I don't judge my trichomes alone, I look at the pods maily - when they swell like they bear a seed I give a few days and chop.
Sometimes I harvest a bit before that to get less of a couch-lock effect but I always end up liking the ones the went longer better.

I know subcool harvests as soon as the trichomes form a fully shaped "mushroom".
He seems to have ultra-dank rated buds.


I don't even think of harvesting before 10% of the trichomes turn amber - its rare that the plants finish packing weight that quick.

I hate chopping when the plant still have a lot of swelling to do like a lot of people around here does.

ya id rather wait for it to be finished i just dont want to over wait.
