Odor Eliminating Fluorescent Bulb

Odor Eliminating Fluorescent Bulb - 68923F2P at The Home Depot

has anyone cared to try these? i wonder if they'd be effective if you used a few of them, i doubt it, tho, but it's worth a try! i'm thinking of picking up a few to test them later.

just started pc case grow today (: i might make a log if i find the time. for now i'll stick with a carbon filter tho.

:leaf::leaf: Yeah my girlfriend was complaining about the smell in our place so i ordered two of them online and she hasnt said anything since. I think they work great. :leaf::leaf:

:leaf::leaf: Yeah it's no tthat complicated actually. The bulbs have a titanium dioxide coating on it that creates a photocatalytic reaction when exposed to the fluorescent light produced by the bulb itself. This reaction releases electrons, or negatively charged particles. At the same time, a positively charged hole is formed in its place. This combination of negative and positive creates a very strong oxidizer called the hydroxide radical. Odors that come into contact with the positively charged holes are broken down by these oxidizers into odorless compounds. All in all there is nothing in these bulbs that are harmful to the plants. :leaf::leaf:

so doc, would you recommend these over scrubbers for a small grow box?
like mine or his Pc box?

thanks for the input dr. chronic! i'll eventually order a few of these online. it seems a lot more convenient than creating a carbon filter especially for pc case growers.. takes up so much room inside the case ): it's much more convincing knowing someone else has tried it already.

:leaf::leaf: Yeah i would recommend them to anyone that doesn't want to mess around with carbon filters. Nothing is easier than screwing in a light bulb and flicking the switch. :leaf::leaf:
