So, this fucking thing was sleeping in the middle of a state highway in a rural part of the area. Didn't even open its eyes when I picked it up to move it somewhere safe. Just shuffled its feet and got comfortable. Held it for ten minutes, making sure it wasn't injured. My brother tried to pet it, and I yelled at him, because I'm holding a bird of prey in my hands and this 19-year-old kid wants to fuck with it while it's sleeping. Following this, the owl woke up and looked around a bit, even turning its head completely backwards to look at me a few times. After about 3 more minutes of chillin', it hover-jumped away into the woods. So, at least the little thing was ok.
