Oaksterdam clones-how to get

I am wanting to make a trip to oakland's oaksterdam to get some starts of hopefully the purple kush at SR71 coffeeshop/dispensary but I do not have a medical card for California. Can anyone give me any tips on how I may hook up with a card holder and get some starts through them? Does anyone think I will be easily able to network with a card holder to get some starts? Any tips much appreciated

Well, first off, the SR-71 has been closed for over a year, they did move and re-open as the Coffeeshop Blue Sky, but its not the same, 2nd trying to find a particular strain of anything at any club is a lost cause, 3rd, getting someone to get it for you won't be easy, or maybe it will. I don't know

I have a card, but I don't ever procure anything for anyone but myself, it's not that I'm a selfish stoner, as i will gladly smoke with you, I do have an actual medical need for my prescription and with all the crackdowns going on right now, I'm not f*cking up a good thing.

sorry to rant, but as soon as someone finds out that you have a card (not you poster), they start asking, can you get this for me, can you get that for me, and these are people you barely know.

Again, sorry to rant, havent had the morning wake and bake, lol

No worries. Thanks for the information. I totally understand it not being worth the risk for someone. I had envisioned going to Oakland and finding someone if I hung around the right area but it may be like you said a lost cause. It would be a long drive for me ~800 miles but the purple kush:hump: would be worth it for me. If you have any suggestions on good places to network if I did go to Oaksterdam it would be much appreciated. Also Im curious why you say it may be difficult to find a certain strain? Thanks

Where are you from? If you live in a state that allows medical marijuana just hook up with a co-op in that state if you do not know go to http://www.thc-foundation.org/ they have a list of clinics that have good doctors who give out permits as long as you can prove you need one of course

I don't know what that guy was talking about not being able to find a particular strain.
Blue sky makes pamphlets each season that lists what clones they will have.
You have to be lucky though, even if they had the PK when they opened it would sell out fast.
I have been there twice and neither time did they have the PK.
I got hindu skunk, white widow, and bubbakush (which wasnt in the pamphlet)
You wouldn't be able to get that many clones to make it worth your trip, unless maybe you just needed a couple to mother/clone.

Also, no offense to the cut, but I have seen awesome growers not be able to make the PK yield and turn out looking great.
Smoke is awesome though.

I'm just speaking from experience, you said it yourself, you've tried twice and have not been able to get it. IMHO, trying to find a particular strain at a club take a HUGE amount of luck, I very rarely come out of the club with what I went in for.

I will admit to not having bought clones from that particular club, I have been there lots of times and bought other things, just not the clones. the club I go to is alot bigger with more choices as far as smoke goes.

The reason getting clones is based on luck is because of the grower. Dispensaries get most of there clones from nice growers who donate them. If a grower has taken a few extra clones and does not have the room to put them in there flower room then he will usually give them to a dispensaries. It is not like the dispensaries put in for an order of what type of clones they want. So it is all based on what grower has what clones and when he will be harvesting. My advice is to find out when the Dispensaries are getting clones in and be first in line.
