Well after years of wanting to see this city, I finally got my chance to visit today. I grew up my whole life in the midwest, but now live in the east. I'm only 2.5 hours away now and will go back for the summer sometime. I dreamed of moving there after college, but life had another route for me. I will say with all the people, traffic, noise etc it didn't bother me a bit and I felt very comfortable and at home. IMO, one of the greatest cities. I love NY and not that skank on VH1.
